This Cafe is conveniently located at the rear of the Tranz Hotel and beside the Phaya Thai ARL / BTS station. Staying in a hotel in the vicinity, we always noticed a long queue of patrons to access the Cafe, when we were passing to and from Phaya Thai station. Were the patrons there for their social media posts or genuine individuals that appreciate good coffee? We decided to try for ourselves on a weekday around 3 pm. Dine-in and takeaway customers have to form a queue to wait to be seated or join the takeaway queue leading to the order counter. The wait time to place our takeaway orders was around 10 minutes, and were subsequently given an electronic queue management token for takeaway order collection. We were then led to a waiting bench to the side of the dining area to wait for our takeaway order collection, which we waited for a further 20 minutes. The service staff were courteous and diligent. But preparations for our takeaway order were slow. Observed various noisy tourists dining there ruining the overall ambience and dine-in experience. We ordered their: Signature "Blood" cold brew of double espresso with chilled milk. - Good smooth flavour and aroma. "Factory White" hot Latte with their house blend "Rocky Road" coffee beans. - Good flavour and aroma. Salted Egg Croissant - Good slightly savoury flavour and crisp exterior with fluffy interior with generous sweetened salted egg filling. Good flavours and textures. Personally prefer the filling to be more savoury and less sweet. Blueberry Banana Bread - Sufficiently dense but soft, with good banana flavour and aroma with good contrasts with the slight addition of blueberry paste swirls. Would i patronise this Cafe again? Definitely, BUT ONLY if there's no queue waiting to...
Read moreWhen you first arrive, make sure to get a queue number from the staff inside. They mentioned counter staff, but actually, shes moving around, be sure to find her. It will save you alot of angst from accidental queue cutting etc.
Our queue buzzer rang about 10minutes in, where we have to divide and conquer (1 person to join the ordering queue, the other to locate the seat). The queue to order took another 10mins, which is quite reasonable considering the crowd! It helped that we arrived slightly earlier at 11.45am, i guess.
The drinks and croissants came about 10minutes later. And I must say, the wait is worth it!
Here’s what we ordered: Spinach Croissant This is an interesting order, and surprisingly yummy. It is a creamy spinach paired buttery croissant which somehow works. It is nice, but the drinks are nicer!
Mrs cold This looks very small and unassuming. But their milk elevated the taste of the coffee. Creamy, fragrant with some sourness, but stull balanced.
Mocha with sea salt I think this is a good cup of mocha, and not sweet at all! You can tell that the chocolate used is good quality. Smooth drink.
Chocolate truffle This came with a bit of theatrics, good to take video for insta. I thought it will be thick and overly sweet, but it turned out super balanced with a hint of coconut, saltiness and caramel. My favourite drink for the day!
Our total spend is 660baht, which is reasonable for the quality of the drinks.
Overall, it is worth traveling to...
Read moreIs a great place to try. Afterall BKK is also another coffee heaven for coffee drinkers.
Many different kinds of coffee. Today I tried the white citrus. The coffee was has a strong aroma and the citrus came after that. Is taste a little bitter but overall the drink is tasty. A hint of sweetness and bitterness after taste. Interesting
The early grey was their signature. And it was only 730 am and only left 5 pieces. The cake has a very strong early grey smell which I love it. The cream on top was not too oily and just turn right amount. The cake is on the drier version. Not the usual fluffy and light kind. Which is why is a smaller peices. Is packed with omph and you can literally taste every early grey in every grain of the cake. Would love to try their carrot cake the next round.
Many people are ordering their IG drink such a supreme coffee as the staff will come over and pour for you to take video and this resulted in long queues. So do be mindful when trying out this place and plan your time well. When I left at 8am. There was already a queue despite it was not seated fully as they need to make sure they can fulfilled all their drinks first. It took about 15 mins for my drink to arrive. So dont expect Starbucks service..and I didn't give 5 stars because once it get crowded. The queues is horrendous.
The design of the cafe is like all other major coffee shop. Rustic warehouse design with concrete slabs. But they do have nice cute...
