Today, we had a reunion of ex-FE & INCOMM friends, which brought back memories of the old days. As always, we entrusted our meal to Chairoj — our go-to place

Location & Style Chairoj near Phaya Thai BTS and was truly impressed. This classic “cook shop” has been around for decades, and you can taste that history in every dish.

The stir-fried clams with chili paste were flavorful and aromatic, while the crispy pork with garlic was perfectly cooked—crunchy, rich, and full of umami. The highlight for me was the clear Tom Yum soup—spicy, sour, and soul-warming, just like homemade.

The place has an old-school charm with wooden decor and a cozy, family-style atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality and...

I’d heard about this place as a classic, old-school restaurant, but honestly, it felt just okay to me—nothing particularly special. The food is decent, and they do have a wide variety of interesting dishes to choose from. The pork dish I posted on the left is probably the highlight, but even that felt more like good canteen food than something truly memorable.

One downside is that they only accept cash, which made things a bit inconvenient. The vibe is classic and homey, but more like an old home—and the atmosphere didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Maybe I just had my expectations...

ไชยโรจน์ อีกหนึ่งตำนานอาหารจีนสไตล์กุ๊กช็อป ที่ยืนยาวมากกว่า 65 ปี มากินกี่ครั้งรสชาติก็ยังประทับใจเหมือนเดิม เป็นลูกค้าร้านไชยโรจน์มายาวนานกว่า 30 กว่าปีแน่นอน กินมาตั้งแต่เด็กๆเพราะว่าบ้านเพื่อนสนิทอยู่ใกล้ๆจะสั่งมากินที่บ้านกันเป็นประจำ พอโตขึ้นก็ไปทำงานที่โชว์รูมบริษัทนิวตัน ที่เมื่อก่อนทำรถบีเอ็มดับเบิ้ลยู มินิ แต่ตอนนี้มาทำรถยนต์ Volvo ย้ายโชว์รูมไปอยู่ที่ตลิ่งชันใหญ่โตมโหฬาร มีใครแวะมาหาก็ไม่ต้องพลาดที่จะพามาร้านนี้ติดใจกันทุกคน จนกลายเป็นร้านประจำ ร้านนี้เป็นอาหารจีนแบบกุ๊กช็อปที่ผสมผสานสองวัฒนธรรมอาหารจีนแบบฝรั่งและไทย สตูลิ้นวัวลิ้นยังนุ่มเหมือนเคยมา กับซ๊อสมะเขือเทศกับมันและแครอท กินแล้วย้อนไปนึกถึงวันวาเลนในอดีต Pork chop ที่ชุบแป้งทอดมาราดด้วยน้ำ gravyทานกับซ๊อสเปรี้ยวเข้ากันได้ดีมากๆ สลัดเนื้อสันน้ำสลัดน้ำใสออกรสเปรี้ยวนิดๆแบบน้ำสลัดโบราณ เสริฟมาพร้อมผักกาดหอม หัวหอม มะเขือเทศ ปลาทอดราดพริกจานเด็ดของร้านนี้ ปลากระพงชิ้นโตชุบแป้งทอดกรอบ ใส่กระ เทียมผัดกับพริกให้มาแบบไม่ยั้ง คลุกกับข้าวอร่อยที่สุด มะระผัดไข่ที่มะระไม่ขม ตับทอดกระเทียมจานโตนุ่มๆ นอกจากนี้ร้านนี้ยังมีเมนูอร่อยๆอีกมากมายอย่างต้มยำ ผัดหอยลาย ตบท้ายด้วยไอติมกะทิโบราณของทางร้าน เมื่อก่อนแต่เห็นคุณลุงนั่งอยู่กับคุณป้าแต่ตอนนี้คุณลุงสุขภาพไม่ค่อยดีจะเหลือแต่คุณป้าคอยให้บริการลูกค้ากันอยู่เหมือนเดิม ลูกค้าแน่นตลอดไม่ต่างจากเมื่อก่อนเลย ทุกเมนูยังอร่อยฝีมือไม่ตกลยร้านนี้ ราคาก็ยังไม่แพงเหมือนร้านอื่นๆ ร้านเปิดตั้งแต่ประมาณ 11 โมงเช้าจนถึง 19:00 น ปิดทุกวันอาทิตย์ ร้านไชยโรจน์อยู่ตรงข้ามโรงเรียนสันติราษณ์ริมถนนศรีอยุธยา ถ้าไม่สังเกตุดีๆอาจไม่เห็นเพราะกลมกลืนกับตึกรามบ้านช่อง ใหม่ๆที่สร้างมาในยุคหลังๆ สามารถจอดรถได้ ถ้าประตูโรงเรียนเปิด ค่าจอด 20 บาทเท่านั้นแล้วเดินข้ามมาจะสะดวกที่สุด หรือจะจอดในตึก CP...
