A throw-back oasis cafe in the middle of the concrete jungle in the heart of Bangkok CBD (Central Business District), right off Sathorn Road. (The wonderful thing about coffee culture in Thailand is you can find cafes with good coffee and unique character ANYWHERE in Thailand now. It is just unbelievable.) And this place also offers something unique as well.
Firstly, it is a coffee and breakfast place. If you come to work or visit in CBD, you can have breakfast and coffee here. Mainly Western style (scrambled eggs, sausages & bacon, and varieties of homemade bagels or avocado/smoked salmon toasts) breakfast.
They also have a restaurant next door called “The Yard” which you can stop by for business lunch and dinner.
Then there’s the foot massage upstairs. So, if you want to relax a bit, you can too.
All of these are housed in an old-style, Thai home, converted into a nice courtyard eateries, complete with a central pool and large cafe dining windowed-area overseeing the pool for that relaxing effect.
And the coffee is good too. The price is as expected being in CBD and in such a nice setting (120THB ~US$3.70 and up per cup).
So if you are in the Sathorn CBD and want to chill away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this is a nice...
Read moreI have been here 3 times with some people that don't wanna listen when I say the place has horrible service. Every single one of them was really bad. The staff never comes to take the order, people have to go and order directly with the cashier. The food takes forever to come even when the place is almost empty. They gave me the same excuse 3 times: there is only one chef. It took them 40 min to bring French fries. I guess they were growing them in the garden and waiting for them to be big enough to be tunr into fries. We canceled all the dishes after that. If French fries took that long, we didn't wanna wait for the rest. Another time, we waited 45 min for just eggs. When we asked why it was taking so long, they said they had only one chef. Same excuse. There were only 2 tables in the whole place (restaurant and coffee shop). They asked us to wait an extra 15 min to get our breakfast. Over an hour for eggs? Were they waiting for the hens to lay them? 😂 We had to cancel and go somewhere else. This place sucks big time. I wouldn't recommend going there , unless you have hours to spare to get...

Upon arriving at 8:40 am on a Saturday, we found ourselves the only patrons. The crowd started trickling in around 9 am. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor option overlooking the nearby pond, similar to the indoor seating arrangement.
Although we initially wanted the indoor seats by the pond, we opted for a regular table due to the heavily peeling chair with crumbs and residue.
Our hot drinks arrived first, served on intriguing stone coasters that also double as paperweights due to their weight. They added a nice touch to our coffee, complete with latte art.
The Ground Breakfast, particularly the scrambled eggs, didn't stand out much. Surprisingly, the Sesame Bagel lacked the expected fragrance and felt too doughy.
One highlight of the café is its pet-friendly environment, which is a bonus for pet lovers. They also accept credit...
