Yu Ting Yuan was truly an unforgettable experience, deserving of 6 stars out of 5 in my opinion. The restaurant's distinctive Cantonese cuisine and rare Michelin star status set it apart from others. We opted for the Yu Ting Yuan Experience Menu, and the journey began with an appetizer of crispy roasted pork belly and mustard barbecued pork with honey sauce. As someone not typically fond of pork, this dish astonished me. The combination of crispy and succulent pork belly dipped in the delightful mustard created a harmonious symphony of flavors. The barbecued pork was equally exceptional, bursting with taste and boasting a delightful texture.

Next came the hot and sour soup with crab meat, which turned out to be my personal favorite. A true classic Chinese dish with modern influences, this spicy and flavorful soup delighted my taste buds with its rich herbs and spices. The spice was pleasantly tantalizing.

Following this, we savored the deep-fried prawns with plum sour sauce. The freshness of the prawns was unmistakable, and the delightful spicing elevated their natural flavors. The sour sauce was an optional accompaniment, but the prawns were already a delight on their own.

The steamed Chilean seabass with Chinese preserved vegetables and asparagus was an exquisite combination. The seabass, complemented by the asparagus, created a beautiful and delectable dish. Words fail to capture the true essence of this exceptional combination of flavors.

For the main course finale, we relished the Cantonese shrimp wonton noodles in supreme soup. The lobster-infused soup was deeply satisfying, and the freshly made noodles added a delightful touch. The wonton, a true masterpiece, made the dish truly unforgettable.

As a finishing touch, we enjoyed the double-boiled glutinous rice dumpling with almond cream. The dumpling opened up like a lava cake, and the almond cream was a delightful revelation. This dish was another highlight of the evening.

However, I must mention that the added photos of the dishes do not do justice to the actual presentation in real life. The dishes looked much more appealing and exquisite when served.

Beyond the exquisite food, I must commend the hospitality of the staff. When my credit card declined and my bank card failed, they went above and beyond to assist me and even took the blame, though the error was my own. The staff ensured my girlfriend's comfort while I visited the nearby ATM to sort the payment. Their graciousness added to the overall exceptional dining experience.

I cannot recommend Yu Ting Yuan enough. I am already eager to return as soon as possible. It truly is a culinary gem that has left a lasting...

Absolutely outstanding. Dining at Yu Ting Yuan was, without a doubt, one of the most exceptional Cantonese meals I’ve ever experienced — and that’s saying a lot.

We opted for Chef Tommy’s tasting menu, a seven-course journey that delivered precision, flavour, and finesse in spades. Every dish was a masterclass — beautifully executed, thoughtfully composed, and paced to perfection. From the very first bite, a soy-marinated quail egg served as an amuse-bouche, we knew we were in for something special. There were also lovely touches throughout, like a light and zesty palate-cleansing drink just before the indulgent fried rice course.

Each course stood out in its own way. The poached white asparagus was unexpectedly luscious — soft, gooey, and steeped in umami from the supreme broth. But the crab stole the show: deep-fried in its shell, it was rich, textured, and deeply satisfying. Other highlights included the crisp pork belly, the sesame shrimp toast with caviar, and the vibrant X.O. mantis prawn. The Kagoshima wagyu fried rice brought it all home with a comforting, deeply savoury finish. Dessert? Delicate and not overly sweet — a chilled coconut pudding with bird’s nest to round things off.

What made it even more memorable was the impeccable service. The team were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate — smiles all round and a clear sense of pride in every detail. Wine options were smart, and their tea pairings were just as elegant. The room itself is stunning — moody, polished, and refined without ever feeling stiff or showy.

It was a night of smiles and sensations from start to finish. If you’re in Bangkok and looking for refined Cantonese, Yu Ting...

Yu Ting Yuan at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is a standout for Cantonese cuisine, proudly holding a Michelin star. The restaurant’s stunning design, high ceilings, glossy black walls, and a serene garden view create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. It’s a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, ideal for a special meal.

The food is exceptional with authentic Cantonese dishes crafted from topquality ingredients. Favorites like the Peking duck with crispy skin and the dim sum platter are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The tasting menu (around THB 3,500++ per person) offers a refined journey through Cantonese classics while the a la carte options are generous and equally impressive. The wine list is extensive with great pairings suggested by the attentive staff. Speaking of service, it’s warm, professional, and attentive, exactly what you’d expect from a Four Seasons experience.

It’s on the pricey side but the quality justifies it. Reservations are highly recommended due to limited seating and high demand. For anyone craving elevated Cantonese fare in Bangkok, Yu Ting Yuan is a mustvisit, truly a toptier...

Four Season Chinese Restaurant truly serves the best baby pork I have ever eaten in my life! The flavor is absolutely incredible, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside.
