If you're seeking the epitome of tea-time indulgence in Sydney, look no further than The Tea Cosy at The Rocks. Renowned for their heavenly scones, this quaint establishment delivers an unforgettable experience from start to finish. This is an absolute must if you’re exploring the Rocks area, Circular Quay or the Opera House. It really is worth it.

From the moment you step through the floral gate, you're enveloped in a charming ambiance that transports you to a bygone era of elegance and refinement. Housed in some of the oldest buildings from the first colony. The scent of freshly baked scones permeates the air, setting the stage for a culinary journey like no other.

The scones themselves are a revelation – golden-brown, light, and fluffy, with just the right amount of crumble. Paired with double thick cream and homemade jams, each bite is a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate.

But it's not just the scones that steal the show; The Tea Cosy's high tea offerings are equally spectacular. From delicate finger sandwiches to decadent pastries, every morsel is meticulously crafted and beautifully presented.

Yet, what truly elevates The Tea Cosy experience is the impeccable service. The staff exude warmth and hospitality, attending to every need with grace and efficiency. Whether you're a seasoned tea aficionado or a first-time visitor, you're made to feel like royalty from the moment you arrive.

In sum, The Tea Cosy is a gem in Sydney's culinary scene, a haven for scone enthusiasts and tea lovers alike. For an unparalleled high tea experience that delights the senses and warms the soul, look no further than The Tea Cosy...

Tried Tea Cosy a few months ago for a Hen’s party. We reserved the Nana’s Nook (private room upstairs). It was lovely as we had the privacy. Service was great, time to time waitresses would come to check if everything was okay, they were friendly and helped us taking group photos twice.

Because we reserved the private room, by default we had to order the set menu — Tea Cosy Taster. It’s $25 on the menu, but it was $30 for the private room, but you get to order 2 drinks instead of 1. Our group was surprised by how generous the portion was (we had a few leftovers for takeaway!) — basically we got 2 scones, 4 different jams, cream, 3 different ribbon sandwiches, and 2 drinks. Scones were really delicious, served warm and fresh. The jams were so good. We really liked the Rhubarb, and also the Pear & Vanilla jam. The ribbon sandwiches were great too!

For drinks, I ordered Lemongrass and Ginger cold tea. It was refreshing, but tad bit tooo sweet (most of my friends who ordered the same tea said the same feedback), i was expecting more subtle sweetness instead of full blown added sugar. I wish there were more ice cubes too as it was a warm afternoon. Another drink I ordered was Irish cream (non alcoholic) latte. Great flavour, but again, tad bit too sweet. I think it’ll be nice if the sweetness could be toned down a little bit for the drinks as it tasted imbalanced with the sweet jams for the scones.

Only minor feedback for service I have is, it’d be great if the waitress told us what were the jams etc (we had to guess each one). Other than that, it was a lovely experience at Tea Cosy. Definitely will come back for a simpler...

At 7 Atherden St, in the heart of The Rocks, hiding almost in plain sight is this absolute gem of a Tea Room. The Tea Cosy, like the area it nestles in, is a rather lovely mix of everything old and wonderful. Baskets of knitting and crochet await those with necessary skills to "Do a square" or for those of us with absolutely no ability "Make a mess". My wife set to and before the tea had arrived, she was well underway. For me, the tea was the highlight. As a tea drinker in what is now a mostly coffee drinking world, I shudder when offered "Real Tea in a pot!" only to discover, not unexpectedly, tea bags in a pot with warm water. But the Tea Cosy gives you real leaf tea, with boiling water, in a real pot, with a real tea cosy, in a real tea cup. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! He chortled in his joy. It was hot and delicious and we both went back for another pot. We didn't try the food (The Indian-Pacific awaited) but the scones did look amazing. The service was fast and friendly, our tea served with a smile. And why wouldn't you be smiling? We certainly were, sitting there in one of the most beautiful parts of Sydney, enjoying a superbly made cuppa while watching the incredible whirl of tourists and tradies, musicians and Mothers, vagabonds and the voguish that makes up The Rocks, going about their business as we sat at our table. And she...
