Cigdem Patisserie is a hidden gem in Istanbul's Besiktas neighborhood, and their pastries and pizza are simply divine. I had the pleasure of trying several of their offerings, including the eclairs, croissants, and pizza, and I was blown away by the quality and flavor of each item.

The pizza was a standout, with a thin, crispy crust and a generous amount of toppings. I tried the margherita and it was perfectly balanced, with a tangy tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil. The flavors blended together beautifully, and each bite was a delicious experience.

A must visit for all those that love cosy environments with history! The cafe was a beautiful find, very cosy and welcoming. The desserts menu is extensive and has a variety of different desserts for different tastes. All their desserts were presented so beautifully, they really were so pretty and you are spoilt for choice. What we loved was the cosy welcoming environment, you had little dainty furniture and the place was decorated with so many different historical items. Angry men, yell and stare aggressively at customers who don’t speak Turkish. They reply in abrupt English angrily like we are supposed to know how to system in the shop works but we don’t. You cant see what you want to order unless you are outside the shop so how can we point and choose from inside? You order and sit the order comes to you quickly. You order ur coffee or hot drink at a separate area. The order? Was gross. Dry, stale, crumply, off putting like the ppl who work there. Anyone saying otherwise either don’t have standards or dignity and think that this unnecessary condescending treatment is the “authentic” Turkish experience.
