THEFT! SCAMMERS! DISHONEST! SHAMEFUL!

I visited this restaurant expecting an authentic and pleasant experience, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. From the start, the staff was invasive, pushy, and unprofessional, making the meal uncomfortable. They seemed more like circus monkeys, trying to draw attention at all costs, which made the environment even more unpleasant. On top of that, the staff had cheap talk, always trying to upsell unnecessary items.

Moreover, the price charged was far beyond reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the food. There was no transparency in the pricing, and I felt completely scammed. The final bill was excessive, with no valid justification.

To make matters worse, they added an extremely high service charge, which is not common in most restaurants. It felt like a clear attempt to scam tourists.

Another red flag is that the menu has items marked with “ask” (ask for the price) – stay away from this deceptive scheme! This restaurant is dishonest and practices abusive pricing, clearly trying to take advantage of customers.

There are much better restaurants on the same street, offering higher quality food at fair prices. Be very cautious with these scammers – avoid this place...

What a smart decision it was to have dinner at By Ferro Fish & Kebab House. The dinner was absolutely amazing. The plates were finished in less than 10 minutes - the food was so delicious that we couldn't waste a second of enjoying it. The two salads we had, Rocca & Greek, were composed of the freshest vegetables, the vegetable casserole was very fulfilling & hearty, while the meat dishes, iskender and Adana kebab, were out of this world! Very, very tasty. We loved the food so much that we even ordered a lentil soup after we finished the main order - we couldn't get enough! After being kindly offered Turkish tea & baklava as a compliment, we also ordered Katmer - no need to say that the dessert was also finished immediately. The atmosphere of the place is great! Nice playlist, beautiful ambience and attentive & kindest service - thank you, Galip, for making us feel so welcome! The main dishes are priced between 270 and 350 (approx), the salads - around 120-140. The service is included in the bill. Overall, the dinner was worth every penny and we definitely want...

The ambience and service were great. However, I back up some previous negative comments already written. My family and I came for a light dinner and paid a higher than expected bill for what we ordered in addition to a weird experience. I probably would not recommend this place as the food is mediocre at best (our chicken was too salty and the rice was undercooked). They give “complimentary” starter, dessert, and tea then tack on a 10% service fee that wasn’t disclosed anywhere. The owner is very friendly, but at the end of the meal he did sit by us and insisted to pull up TripAdvisor to leave a review on our phones and wanted us to review them in front of him. He then proceeds to ask us to fill it out two more times when we didn’t immediately do so when we said we’d do one later. Overall, it was an interesting experience we probably would avoid for the rest...

Had dinner there for two, we tried the adana and the döner kebab. They were really tasty. The place looks really good, and it is close to the main attractions. We got free meze as a starter, and turkish tea as an ending gift. As a downside the drinks are pretty pricy (150 TL for a Coke). There's a ~10% service fee added to the bill. The overall experience is good, the waiters are nice and the food is fine. Another review mentions that the tables are close to the street, which is true, but it's pretty common in this area. Here it feels a bit more separated than other places in the neighborhood. We were there at late night, and then the traffic wasn't ruining the experience. Price: 500-1000 TL/person

We got here late on Saturday after a long bus trip to Turkey. The children were hungry so we decided to get a quick food for them without paying much attention to the price. We were charged 440 lira for a small plate of fried potatoes, 330 lira for a can of sprite. The kids ordered a salad and pasta and both of them came with chilli sauce on the plate which the children thought was tomato sauce so that didn't go well with them. The place is next to the main road so it was very busy with lots of cars passing by. We charged over 4100 lira for 4 soft drinks, 1 wine, 1 plate of fried potatoes, 1 plate of salad, 1 plate of cheese rolls. They gave us "free" tea and baklava when we asked for the bills.
