Highly recommend this place! My friend and I love eating and we think that if you are going to visit a new country you must try their local cuisine! So right after arrival we went to Istanbul Anatolian cuisine. We ordered Spice Ezme, hummus, shepherd's salad and grilled seabass. For all that and water and a cold beer we paid ~250 try, which I think is a very reasonable price. I have to say the food was excellent! Really Really very good. Also the owner of Anatolian cuisine Veysel Taskiran is a truly nice, kind, welcoming and generous person, and his hospitality made us feel like we were eating at a good friend’s home. He kindly gave us complimentary Turkish tea and delicious baklava and gave me a gift, a lovely modern small “Evil Eye”. We met his beautiful friends, the cats Fernando and Jessica as well. As an additional benefit, right next to the cafe is a beautiful mosque which makes the atmosphere even more authentic. After our meal we went for a walk around the old town, later we tried to catch a taxi to the hotel, but all the taxi drivers would ask 4-5 times more than the usual cost back to our hotel. We decided to have a little rest and went back to Istanbul Anatolian cuisine for a Turkish tea. Veysel Taskiran not only didn’t take money from us, but also gladly helped to order a taxi at the right price!! Highly recommend this place and I'm coming back for sure!!!!! Thank you Veysel for making us feel...
Read moreI found Istanbul Anatolian Cuisine with a friend while we made a quick stopover in Istanbul. We chose it based on the great reviews and were not disappointed! This place is a gem, and our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic.
From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance made us feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was top-notch throughout our visit.
The entrees were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. They went above and beyond with the clay pot demonstration. It added a unique touch to our dining experience...it's not every day you get to witness your meal being prepared with such skill and passion.
Now, let's talk about the true highlight – Jessica, the resident cat. She added an extra layer of charm to our evening. Adorable and well-mannered, Jessica was sleepy, warm, and sweet. It's not every day you get to enjoy a meal in the company of such a delightful feline friend!
In summary, Istanbul Anatolian Cuisine exceeded our expectations. It's a culinary haven where the food, atmosphere, and even the resident cat create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a cozy place to enjoy a meal with friends, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and a new feline friend – what more could...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Istanbul Anatolian Cuisine and trying their Iskender Kebab, and I must say that it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The Iskender Kebab was cooked to perfection, with tender and juicy meat that had been marinated in flavorful spices. The dish was served with a generous portion of yogurt and tomato sauce, which added a tangy and sweet flavor to the savory meat.
However, what really stood out to me was the exceptional customer service that we received during our visit. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. As a nice touch, we were even given complimentary baklava and chai, which was a lovely gesture that we greatly appreciated.
Overall, I would highly recommend Istanbul Anatolian Cuisine for their excellent food, attentive customer service, and warm hospitality. The Iskender Kebab was a standout dish, and the free baklava and chai only added to the overall...
