Incredibly disappointing experience. Do not recommend going here!
I stopped by this restaurant for lunch with my wife and infant son (6-month-old). The waiters were very disrespectful and rude, and displayed inappropriate behaviour towards my son. One waiter took a sprig of parsley and waved it around my son's face before shoving it into his mouth. I stopped the waiter and said he won't be eating that, and he said that it was a joke. Another waiter came later and put a cigarette into my son's mouth! Shocked, I angrily asked what he was doing, and he said, "it's just a joke". Their sense of humour here is very questionable.
After all that, I asked for the bill and settled it with cash. After waiting for a few minutes, I asked the waiter where my change was. He said "it was a tip". After explaining how disappointed I was, I said I would not be leaving any tip whatsoever. It was frustrating to see the waiter assuming we would tip, especially when it is not common practice to tip on Türkiye. I wasn't the only one being ripped off, as I witnessed other diners (tourists) getting ripped off at the restaurant and being charged a "service fee" for paying by card.
The food was subpar, lacking flavour and more expensive than other places nearby. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area - save yourself the terrible experience and...
Read moreDelicious food, but has a bit shady pricing and might be a "tourist trap". Good quality food and very tasty one of the best I had in Istanbul. Pricing is above average and a little expensive, but not too much.
Beware of the downsides: They have different pricing and sizes for the dishes. They take the wrong orders and force you to have the bigger dish and pay more which seems deliberate as others have mentioned in their reviews. They somehow FORCE you to give them 5 stars on Google map. They want you to open the app and give them a 5 atar which is irritating. Also the guy outside the restaurant falsly tells you they'll give you a 10% discount, but after the meal they'll charge you with 10 percent tax, while asking you to pay them with cash rather than a credit card!
Bonus: they give you baklava and tea for free after the meal.
TL;DR If you don't mind the prices and their behaviour, the food is really good and one of the best in Istanbul especially the...

We had a wonderful time dining at Duran Restaurant in front of the Grand Bazaar, Istanbul. We ordered pizza , Lamb and chicken wings, both of which were delicious, fresh, and full of flavor.
To our pleasant surprise, they served us complimentary baklava and Turkish tea, which was a lovely gesture from the house. The hospitality truly stood out — the staff was warm and welcoming.
A special mention to Mr. Mehmet a very kind and professional gentleman who took excellent care of us. He spoke very good English, made great recommendations, and ensured we felt comfortable throughout our meal.
The ambiance was clean, cozy, and ideal for tourists looking for a quick yet satisfying break from shopping. Prices were reasonable considering the location, and the service was prompt...
