En La Luna Terrace — Restaurant in Fatih

Unfortunately the food was terrible. We have ordered Paçanga böreği which was made with wrong ingredients. They put very cheap salami instead of Pastırma which is a cured Turkish meat with Çemen and you can’t cook paçanga without it. We also ordered Karides Güveç which is prawns cooked with butter. The prawns were frozen and they didn’t cook it with butter but probably with a cheap oil. It taste disgusting. We ordered also Mantar güveç. They have forgotten to put cheese on it which was one of the main ingredients in that dish! We ordered Çoban Kavurma. If only we didn’t !!! The meat was incredibly hard and chewy. We have complained about the food. Our waiter Ramazan was a nice guy and he didn’t charge us Prawn and offered us complementary dessert Katmer. Unfortunately not even that was delicious. The pastry was burnt and there was no pistachio in it. We have paid 2800 TL (around £70) and we have left the restaurant hungry, angry and unsatisfied. Tucked away behind a low-key entrance, En La Luna Terrace was such a hidden gem. Once upstairs, we were greeted with a breathtaking view overlooking the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the sea — absolutely spectacular. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and relaxed, making it the perfect place to savor our last evening in Turkey.

The meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, easily one of the best we had during our trip. Unlike some other places that push for five-star reviews, this restaurant simply lets its quality and charm speak for itself. That sincerity, combined with the outstanding setting, made the experience even more special.

The place is located in one of the most historic and beautiful place in Istanbul namely between Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The amazing view of the historic sites is completed with the Bosphorus on the other side where you can have an unforgettable dinner or lunch there. The staff is quite friendly and caring that completes the sincere atmosphere of the restaurant especially Mustafa is very helpful and energetic.
