We are staying in the 4 star hotel with the restaurant incorporated and after been 3 day in iscambul we thought it would be safer and a better experience to eat in the hotel premises (Mado), I ordered the BBQ burger and my wife ordered the veal steak with mash potatoes and veg. Food arrived with in 5 minuets which was already a bad sign, food looked dry and stale from having been sat under a hot lamp for ages. My wife’s veg had turned to rubber and the “mash potatoes” was a river of poorly mixed instant mash gloop with bits in it, we didn’t even try the meat we sent it back utterly shocked at the poor effort made in a 4 star hotel restaurant. I have been twice for coffee and Turkish sweets but I've also come for a Spanish omelette and ice coffee for breakfast. The day staff are absolutely lovely and so attentive, especially Ferdun and nergiz. They approached me as soon as I sat down and provided good customer service. Thank you for being super friendly. Asset to MADO 🙌 recommend coming during the day, great day staff

Read moreI love Mado, and every time I go to Turkey, it's my favorite place for ice cream, coffee, and desserts. However, I unfortunately felt ripped off at this particular location. We had a full Turkish breakfast for two adults and one child, and the bill came to nearly 2000 Turkish lira. I don't understand how they came up with this price, but sadly, I only realized that I had paid £44 for two breakfasts when I returned to the UK. I found it strange, but since I've visited Mado multiple times, I never expected to be ripped off. Very disappointing for the brand. After that, we visited three other Mado locations (in Kadıköy, Bodrum, and Marmaris), and none of them had this issue. So, watch out for this Mado...
