We ordered our food, and waited about 45 minutes before all our entrees arrived, except for one of them. We asked about the last missing entree, and one of the waitstaff seemed to have made a mistake and put in that order only when all the other orders came out. That would have been fine if he had just admitted the mistake. Instead, he lied and said we placed the order at the very end. When we said we had waited far too long so we had to cancel the order because we needed to leave, the one waitstaff who made the mistake ended up being racist and telling us we “come to this country and steal.” We ended up paying for everything that had arrived and leaving. It’s a shame because the food was delicious, and all other waitstaff were wonderful. It’s just a shame that one person ruined the entire experience for all of us.
Edit: In response to the restaurant’s response to my review, I would like to say your staff is wrong. We never placed that order afterwards. Everything was ordered in one go, and it seems one of your waitstaff forgot to write it down. Please do not accuse us of lying. There were four people, and each of the four of us placed an order. It makes no sense that only three of us placed an order, and then the fourth person decided to place their entree order once everyone else’s food had arrived. Just admit your waitstaff slipped up instead of accusatory lies and blatant racism. Moreover, your staff only decided to cancel the order once they acknowledged that we weren’t trying to steal from them. I do not remember the name of the man who kept referring to us as “you people” and kept accusing us of only being in Turkey to steal from a restaurant. We had been to this establishments prior to today, but we will not be returning due to horrible service. In future, ask your waitstaff to go through everyone’s orders once everything has been placed to check that everything...

Positive first. The view over the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque is amazing. But, there are plenty of other restaurants with similar views that do NOT rip you off.
Negatives.
Cost. Exorbitant. Absolutely ridiculous for the quality of food served. I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants to street food carts in Asia but I have never had food this overpriced. TL2100 for a luke warm, sub par steak that was rare at one end and well done at the other. Served with a purée that was cold and a mushroom 'sauce'. The sauce was cream with some mushrooms in it. No seasoning, no flavour. My wife's food was equally poor. TL1000 for some mushrooms covered in cheese. Her salad was even worse.
Service. There is no menu, you have to scan a QR code. If I am expected to pay TL5000 for a meal, I expect a real menu. I'm not ordering like I'm at burger king! The waiter was immediately over to 'recommend' the house best options, both of which were the most expensive options on the menu. TL 5100 for the chateau briand or TL 5000 for the fish platter! And to make matters worse, these options are aggressively pushed by the waiter.
Reviews. The reviews for this place must have been bought. There is no way on earth that they can be legitimately left based upon our experience. Are the 'local guides' getting meals for free? How this place is ranked in the top 30 restaurants in Istanbul is beyond me.

In summary.
My wife and I left the restaurant with a really sour taste in our mouths from the food and the experience. All our other meals in Istanbul were amazing experiences, but this is the one we will probably remember the most as it was so bad.

Read moreFirst of all, I want to say that we received top notch service from Mert, our waiter. He took great care of us and even provided an aperitif on the house!
My wife and I both had the mixed seafood fettuccine, which was delicious. The mussels, octopus, shrimp, and scallops were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. I hoped to order the seafood casserole but unfortunately this was not available.
The disappointing part is the pricing. It is clear to me that the prices are based on what international tourists are willing to pay/used to paying for comparable food in western Europe/USA. The Lira prices at the restaurant were about 3x more expensive than the Lira prices in the menu photo on the Google listing posted 8 months ago. Could this be related to the fact that the Lira has lost more than half it's value relative to the Euro/USD in the last 2 years 🤔? I have a hunch that the prices are pegged to the Euro even though they are advertised in Lira. Also, when we received the bill, we were encouraged to pay in Euros, but the Euro price on the receipt was more than 10% more expensive than the Lira price when I did the conversion, so we chose to pay with Lira. We spent 2400 Lira (93 Euro) for one lower price entree and one lower price drink each, and easily could have spent double or triple that if we had ordered more expensive entrees, or added appetizers, or more expensive drinks/more than one drink each
Bottom line: it is a great experience, but be prepared to pay dearly for the experience and to have your wits about you when the check arrives to make sure you get...
