Turkish Kebab Fish Steak — Restaurant in Fatih

We have eaten in 5 different restaurants on the same street in the last few days. This one was the worse in terms of scamming us. We where lured in by the promise of a free drink. When the bill came, the price on the bill was the same as on the menu, but at the end, an additional TL 350 was added to the bill with a line description as "tax". When we queried same, we where pointed to the back of the menu, to a page we did not even see, where it says "Service Charge 14%". I said to the person that the bill says "tax". He left and brought another bill which said "service" next to the TL 350. I pointed out that it is more than 14%, to which he shrugged his shoulders. Another person came and said it is a tax and goes to the Government, which we then said we thought it is a service charge. He ignored this and said that we had an appetizer for free, which we did not, since we ordered a starter and it was on the bill. He then said it is not his fault we ordered it. We also did not ask for the water, which they charged for, and we did not even drink it. The food also does not look like what it does on the menu. Therefore, you do not get what you think you ordered and expect added charges which it does not seem like you can dispute. We paid the exact requested amount and left. 5 stars is not enough stars. They deserve more. The food is amazing, im from nyc and I always say we have the best food in the world and it is very hard to beat, but I literally came here 3 nights in a row because the food is that good. This is easily my favorite restaurant in Istanbul. The food is that good that you come back to back to back. The food paired with the outdoor vibes are just 10/10. It’s perfect. The service is incredible, very attentive and lets me customize what I want to eat even if I want to combine 2 different orders. They always saying hello even when im just walking by and even once when i was driving by they saw me inside the car and said hello. It is very difficult to find great customer service and even better food. My favorites were the adeni kebab and the chicken shnitzel with a lemonade and it was AMAZING. If I had more time and a bigger stomach, I would get everything else as im guaranteed sure they would’ve tasted delicious as well. The next time im coming back to Istanbul, I am coming here. I don’t need any directions, I love this restaurant so much that off my memory I will lead myself here. 5 stars is not enough, they deserve 1 billion stars....

It starts with a gentlemen in the street promising too many things examples: You will get 10% off You will get 2 entries The killer phrase was you don’t pay if you do not like our food.

You will need to verify your bill at the end ; no rebat, no free free entries and they. Will put a bottle of water and they opened it without asking so it’s not free.

Service was ok : 2 little kids working on table nothing special they are all mixed up with how ordered what.

Food ; little bit pricy compared to other places and to the quality of food.

Salade was good. It’s like home Turkish salade

Meat was not hot it’s like it was already prepared because they will telll you it’s coming from over bbq.

I think what they did in this restaurant they put prices in euro and after they converted it to lira .

You can have better choices of restaurants just avoid this area because it’s only tourist trap but if you have to eat and you don’t have the choice it will do it...
