I got the chance to visit this restaurant based on the recommendation of the front desk staff at the hotel where I was staying. They have a very neat outdoor dinning space in the heart of the touristic Sultan Ahmet ares and that was where I was seated. The waiters were friendly and attentive. Initially, I perceived the service to be a bit slow but then I noticed that many customers who were there before were not bothered by the slow service and I realized that my perception might be due to being used to the faster service back home in the US. As far as food was concerned, I ordered: lentil soup for an appetizer which was ok, Ottoman Casserole for the main dish which was a delightful surprise as I was having it for the first time, baklava which was a complementary addition and it tasted very good. However, the Kunefa which was the dessert I ordered was not impressive. I thought it was dull and lacked the mildly crunchy sweet and savory flavor that I was expecting. The pricing was reasonable for a three course meal. Overall, the hospitality was excellent and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a chill...
Read moreDuring our stay in Istanbul, we accidentally walked into this restaurant while looking for a place to eatâand weâre so glad we did! From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and felt right at home.
The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with authentic Turkish flavors. Everything we tried was cooked to perfection, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. We finished our meal with a traditional dessert, which was the perfect sweet touch to end the evening.
What truly made this place special was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Their hospitality was unmatched, making us feel more like guests than customers.
The atmosphere was also wonderfulâcozy, inviting, and full of character. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and take in the warmth of Turkish culture.
Weâre so glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem and would highly recommend it to anyone...

The experience started with the waiter pushing us to order alcohol since that is the most expensive thing you can get at the restaurant, which we declined 3 times. Then two waiters tried to spoon feed me -which I experienced as quite invasive. A few minutes later another waiter did the exact same thing, it seemed to be some sort of shtick. The soup tasted like canned soup and had practically NO TASTE. Our chicken kebap was RAW on the inside and I basically didn't eat any of it. Wouldn't be surprised if I felt sick tomorrow actually.. Only the stuffed wineleaves were okay.
We were charged a hefty 710 lira for this and I truely feel ripped off. DONT EAT THERE, trust me.
Later we went and ate for 120 lira at an authentic Turkish restaurant, with actual decent &...
