Urfalı Hacı Usta — Restaurant in Fatih

We got cheated in this restaurant, as we were charged for items that we didnt even order. To elaborate, we came to the restaurant just before iftar/dinner time, and all tables were set for iftar. They informed us that all items on the table are free aside from the dishes we order. After we finished our dinner they charged us extra 800 lira for ayran and some appetizers which we didn't even order, and were put on the table as part of the iftar menu. We did eat some of the things served, some we didn't eat, but still paid for them. So yeah, we were cheated. As for the food taste and quality it is solid 3.5/5, the supposedly free kibbah was nice but cold (3/5), the barbecue plate was good (4/5), the tea was horrible, we couldnt drink it, it was a leftover tea that was brewed for the second time (so 1/5), the salads were nice and varied (4/5), kunefe was nice, but had this distinguished taste of margarine (3/5). Çok değerli bir dostumla Urdalı Hacı Ustaya gittik. Kendisi Hacı ustayı 20 yıldır tanır ve bana epeyce methettikten sonra bu öğlen soluğu İstanbul'un kalbi horhor caddesindeki Hacı ustada aldık.

Siparişleri verir vermez masaya ikramlarla donattılar. Nar ekşili ezme salatası, çoban salata, sumaklı soğan, taze nane tabağı , maydonoz tabağı ve bostane geldi. Nar ekşili salatanın sumağı biraz fazla ama çok lezzetli bostane ise öğlen sıcağında içimi ferahlattı çok ama çok beğendim.

Önden içli köfte, çiğ köfte siparişi verdik ve iki kişilik karışık kebap istedik. Karışıktaki tavuk kanatı istemedik ayrıca fıstıklı kebap eklettik.

İçli köfte kabuğu çıtır çıtır ve ince iç harcı güzel biraz daha yağlı olsa tadından yenmez denir ya o kıvamda olacak.

Çiğ köfte ise çok cıvık isotu çok fazla hiç beğenmedim ama hepsini yedim😂😂

Karışık kebap içinde kuzu çöp şiş, ciğer şiş, Urfa, adana ve fıstıklı kebap güzel bir tepside dolu dolu servis edildi. Tanlarında kırmızı köz biber ve közlenmiş domates ile. Porsiyon iki kişilik ama normal bir restorana 3-4 kişilik servis edilen cinsten bol kepçe. Adanayı çok beğendim, çöp şiş süper ama marinesini daha iyi olabilirdi. Ciğer lezzetli fıstık kebabı müthiş bir lezzet.

Ayrıca közlenmiş patlıcan istedik ama gelen patlıcan közlenmiş değildi beğenmedim.

Bu muhteşem lezzetleri bakır tasta servis edilen buz gibi ve bol köpüklü el yapımı ayran ile taçlandırdım. Ayran muhteşem.

Porsiyon çok büyük ve doyurucu olduğu için tatlıya her zaman yer olan midemde bu sefer maalesef yer yoktu. Künefenin Çok nefis olduğunu arkadaşım söyledi ama artık bir dahaki sefere deyip iç geçirdiğim doğrudur😂😂

Urfalı hacı usta horhorda bir çok yere gitmiş biri olarak bana göre rakip komşularından ayrılıyor. Hem lezzetli hem misafirperverler hem de fiyatları makul. The best food and experience my husband and I had in Istanbul.

Before you order, they serve an array of mezze foods (salad, pickled cabbage, chilli sauce, bbq onions, garlic sauce and more) all free of charge.

The mains are served promptly and taste delicious. I would highly recommend the wings and my husband loved the Adana kebab.

To end, they gave Turkish tea and a ‘burning’ milk and pistachio drink. We were also offered Turkish coffee but kindly declined due to being full.

Amazing experience overall. We were not upcharged on any dish and only paid for our mains and soft drinks.
