Overall;
Food 3/5 Service 1/5 Pricing 1/5 Atmosphere 3/5
I agree with the majority of comments regarding the pricing structure of this restaurant. Despite being off the ‘main strip,’ they seem to charge a premium for what they offer, and what they offer isn’t much.
We made our choice based on the ‘Turkish’ menu — which is harder to find than you might think, as most of the resort area caters to European tastes. The chicken shish was just okay, but for the pleasure of 560 lira, you could easily find a cheaper alternative in the area. The sea bass still had scales attached and was not cleaned properly, but it was just on the edge of edible. The pide/Turkish pizza was acceptable, but again, it didn’t stand out.
I cannot however abide the price of 350 lira for a salad — the most I have ever paid in Turkey, especially considering the portion size, which was not nearly big enough to share between the table.
Atmosphere was fairly pleasant and the staff arrange ‘displays’ when certain dishes are brought out, such as the ‘clay pot’ - if you have been to Istanbul you will be familiar with this. You should be aware these items are among the priciest on the menu. A large Efes at the time of writing was 160 lira, which is cheaper than some of the surrounding restaurants and cafes, so no complaints in this area.
Additionally, during our visit, they were not accepting card payments due to a ‘broken terminal,’ which, judging by previous reviews, seems to be a common issue. If you wish to pay by card, I would recommend asking beforehand if the terminal is working to avoid any problems — because if they do arise, the smiles of the staff disappear, revealing quite an unfriendly and inhospitable nature, which resulted in some quite personal and nasty comments made towards our party. Working in hospitality is not easy, but this should never result in aggression towards your guests.
As you can see from previous reviews some people certainly enjoyed their time here - which is great - but I could not in good conscience recommend it as a place to visit during your time...
Read moreMy wife and I went to the Ottoman restaurant on the third night of our week long stay. The welcome was excellent, shown directly to our table and brought drinks and menus. I asked the owner what he would recommend and he gave a suggestion of the Ottoman special kebab which was lamb cutlets done with a prawn sauce. (I know, doesnt sound right). I ordered it and wasnt disappointed at all. The lamb was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone, the sauce was excellent and perfectly spiced with cumin, paprika, garlic and onion. I cant describe how good it was, I went back the next night and ordered the same dish it was that good. Reasonable prices, although Oludeniz wasnt as cheap as I thought it would be, the meal was great value and balloon bread was brought for us to eat with dips while we made our selection from the menu. Restaurant was lovely and clean and the staff excellent. I gave a well deserved tip and went to thank the chef myself. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. The restaurants at the bottom end of this street all appeared to be more authentic than anywhere else in the town and were frequented by more Turkish than English. Short and tall of it, if you want a fry up, go to the strip, if you want authentic Turkish...

The taste of the food was ok but a bit plain. 3.considering the below two dishes plus two coke cost us 3090 TL and the food portion was not that big, I would say this was a pricy place and would NOT RECOMMEND it. The Turkish restaurant we loved in the UK was actually cheaper than this!
Note: the staff would purposely tell you that their card machine wasn’t working or they didn’t know the password cus they wanted cash from you. They even told us there was an ATM nearby but I knew it would charge 8% service fees for cash withdrawals. So I refused to get cash and was just sitting there and waiting for their card machine to work. It worked “magically” at the end but this experience...
