Worst Paragliding Experience Ever - Avoid This Unstable Instructor at All Costs!

I encountered the absolute worst instructor here, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare that no one should ever go through. Initially, due to freezing temperatures and ice on the mountain, we waited for ages before switching to a lower launching platform. Whether it was because of this delay or something else, this instructor was extremely negative from start to finish. After dumping his gear on the ground, he just vanished. Everyone else in my group had already taken off, but I couldn't find him anywhere. I waited for a long time and had to ask the staff to track him down before he finally came over to help me get ready. To make matters worse, when we got the photos later, most of them were either shots of my feet or close-ups of his own face—hardly any were usable.

The most infuriating part was that he kept berating me non-stop throughout the entire flight for my "wrong" take-off posture. I was running as hard as I could, but he insisted I was "sitting down". I apologized to him repeatedly, saying, "I know I might not have met your standards, but I tried my best to run", and I said "sorry" multiple times. He respond: "It's not enough". Then what—was I supposed to get on my knees and beg him?

The landing was even more horrific. I tried my best to stand up as instructed, but the paraglider and wind dragged me to the left, making me land on my side. Right away, this instructor flew into a rage, screaming at me, claiming I had put him at risk, threatened his life, and called me "selfish”. I burst into tears on the spot. The shop owner's ran over to greet me, but instead of apologizing, she saying, "You're just a too sensitive girl". Is this a matter of being "sensitive"? I was unlucky enough to get paired with a mentally unstable instructor, but next time it could be any other tourist. If this instructor is in a bad mood, he might even risk crashing with a tourist in a fit of anger. I'm not sure about paragliding rules, but airline pilots are grounded if they're in a bad mood—this man was in control of my life, yet he started mad at me mid-flight just because he was upset. How could I possibly feel safe?

Unforgettable Paragliding Experience with Fly Infinity Ölüdeniz – Absolutely Amazing! In May 2025, we went on a very special adventure: Tandem paragliding from Mt. Babadağ over Ölüdeniz, organized by Fly Infinity Ölüdeniz – and it was simply fantastic!

Booking & Organization The online booking via CheckYeti was quick and easy. We received confirmation shortly after. Due to the weather, we were proactively contacted by Fly Infinity and informed that our flight had to be postponed by one day – excellent communication and very responsible handling.

Warm Welcome & Preparation On the new flight day, we drove to Ölüdeniz and found a convenient parking spot just behind the Fly Infinity office. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed – almost like part of the family. We were offered free drinks, and the communication was very friendly and relaxed. The safety briefing was short but clear and professional.

Flight Experience & Atmosphere Soon after, the pilots and driver arrived. We were introduced and then taken up to the 1,700-meter-high launch platform. Once at the top, we received another thorough explanation of what to expect.

The takeoff was smooth and quick, and within seconds, we were gliding over the turquoise sea, the famous Blue Lagoon, and the stunning mountains of Ölüdeniz. The pilots focused equally on safety and making the flight enjoyable – we felt completely at ease and in the best hands.

Photos & Aftercare The flight lasted about 40 minutes, and was captured using a 360° camera. We landed right on the beach, just a few steps from the office. All photos and videos were transferred directly to our phones – great quality and a perfect memory.

Afterwards, we chatted with the pilots and the owner – everything felt natural, relaxed, and truly enjoyable. We spent around three hours with the team and enjoyed every moment.

Final Verdict: A true highlight of our vacation! Fly Infinity Ölüdeniz impresses with great organization, top safety, friendliness, and passion for what they do. We booked two activities for three people – a speed boat trip and quad biking – costing £300 in total. The speed boat trip was sold to us as a 3-hour session with free reign of the boat and optional sightseeing stops. But when we got there, the captain had clearly been told something completely different — he took us to set locations and expected us to stay there for around an hour at each stop, which we never agreed to.

There was clearly a massive miscommunication or false advertising between the seller and the captain. When we challenged this and asked for a refund for the misleading experience, they only offered a small partial refund worth 30 minutes, not the full hour we reasonably expected. They said it was based on what the seller earned in commission, which makes no sense from a customer point of view — we paid for time on the boat, not their internal profit margins.

We also cancelled the quad biking for the next day because we no longer trusted the service, and we were only refunded about 75%, despite not using the activity. So across both, we only got back about half our money.

What’s worse is that instead of trying to sort it out properly, they involved the Jandarma (community police) — not us. We had to explain our side, and after hearing everything, the Jandarma clearly agreed with us and made them issue the refund. Without that, we’re confident we wouldn’t have received anything.
