Gözlemeci Sema & Ev yemekleri & Vegan / Vegeterian — Restaurant in Fethiye

We visited this cosy place several times and tried different dishes. Here are my impressions:

Manti – similar to Ukrainian dumplings or ravioli, but with very little meat inside. Served with sauce. If I had to choose, I would prefer dumplings because they have more meat filling.

Günün çorbası (Soup of the day) – different every day, but always tasty. I tried lentil and pea soups on different days – both were delicious. Suitable for adults and children. Recommended.

Köfte menüsü (meatballs) – served with rice, French fries, a few slices of tomato, and pepper. One portion is big enough for two people. Recommended.

Tavuk dürüm (chicken wrap) – chicken in flatbread, very tasty. Recommended.

Künefe – traditional Turkish dessert made from thin pastry threads, goat cheese, and sugar syrup, served hot. Very tasty.

Patates kızartması (French fries) – fried potatoes, not very crispy, but good overall.

Gözlemeler – thin pancakes with filling. You can choose meat, meat with cheese, meat with onion, or other varieties. Everything I tried was very tasty. A free portion of ayran is included with this dish.

Tea – you can pour it yourself from the teapot, dilute with hot water from the samovar, and drink several cups – free of charge.

Ayran – can be ordered separately, but in some dishes one portion of ayran is included in the price.

📌 Overall: a place with tasty food and reasonable prices. I especially recommend the soup of the day, gözleme, and chicken wrap.

⚠️ Note: there are only a few tables. Be prepared that you might be asked to move to another table so they can seat all guests, or you may need to wait outside until a table becomes available. The place feels like a small home courtyard with a few tables,...

Unfortunately, my experience with this place is markedly different than the average 4.6.

The first thing that slightly put me off was the menu lacking any prices. OK, the place did not appear fancy, so we figured that the prices should be reasonable. Our bill did not turn out unexpectedly high, but I would still like to have more transparency.

Then while we were ordering the food, the waiter lectured me on the fact that I wanted to drink coffee before food. Even if this was very uncommon, I don't think anybody is an authority on that, so why not just oblige me?

So we ordered some pancakes, water, and something else. They forgot to bring water. We reminded them and they served it.

Then they brought some pancakes, but not all. I thought that they simply did not care about the order and served the sweet ones before the salty ones, so I waited. However, it turned out that they simply forgot about the part of the order. So we reminded them again. After about twenty minutes, we decided that they had forgotten about it again, so we ordered coffee (nothing special, just average) and asked for the bill.

At that moment, they realized that they had not served the pancake, so they cooked it and we had to wait a bit more, apparently, just to take it away.

The last bad thing about this place is that it is rather small and it is allowed to smoke there. Unfortunately, the flow of air is weak even on the terrace, so all this poor experience was accompanied by the smell...

Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Hygiene

I recently visited this restaurant with my family, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. From the moment we entered, it was evident that the establishment fell short in several aspects.

The service was subpar, to say the least. 🙄 It immediately raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and food safety standards of the restaurant.

Moreover, the food quality did not meet our expectations. Not only were the prices exorbitant, but the taste of the dishes was also far from satisfactory. The high prices only added to the disappointment, making it feel like we were paying a premium for lackluster food and service.

Adding to our dismay was the undeniable bad smell that lingered throughout the restaurant. 🤮Hygiene is of paramount importance in any dining establishment, and the presence of a foul odor truly undermined the entire dining experience.portions are small

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my recent visit. The poor service, unappetizing food, high prices, and lack of hygiene standards were major drawbacks that overshadowed any potential positives.
