I used to love this place. Sit on the roof terrace, have a leisurely lunch and watch the paragliders, BUT this year it’s downstairs only at lunchtime (is that to do with COVID-19? I don’t know). Upstairs is only open from 18:00, which is a real shame, because downstairs lacks some of the ambience. Not only that, but the food isn’t quite the same as used to be. In the past the seafood salad was delicious, now it’s just ordinary. Then there’s the service. Again not as good. We ordered water with our drinks but it didn’t turn up until after the bill. Buzz Bar, your standards have slipped. Please fix it and we’ll be back. In the meantime we’re trying somewhere else.
Update - In answer to Emre’s question, we visited on 20th August for lunch. Our drinks took a long time to arrive. Two of us had the seafood salad and two had the spicy chicken wrap, which should have been called a chicken wrap because it lacked spice. We came back at around 5pm for drinks, which took even longer to arrive. We ordered 1 bomonti, 1 milk shake, 2 glasses of rosé, 1 soda water, 1 water. The bomonti arrived first, then the milk shake and soda water, but no glass for the soda. A while later the rosé arrived, but not the water. We asked again for the water but it didn’t come. We finished our drinks and asked for the bill, which listed all of our drinks including the water. After the bill arrived a waiter came with the small water which we turned away as we were leaving. There were a lot of waiters serving at lunchtime and again when we visited at 5pm. That was not the problem. One of the issues seems to be that many waiters dealt with our order which meant none of them seemed to know what we should have had. Another issue seems to be slow speed of getting drinks to the table. The last issue for me is why has the quality of the food changed? It just was not as good as it once was. I...
Read moreSo this place has really gone to the dogs. The staff were incredibly unfriendly, barely spoke a word and looked like they hated their lives. The food was fine, certainly not terrible but nothing worth specifically returning for (including their "signature" dishes). Definitely strange adding mashed potato to a Thai Green Chicken Curry with grilled chicken chucked in.
We were swarmed with flies and the atmosphere was rather uncomfortable. There are stray cats around (that we love) and we were giving them some of the leftovers and the manager(?) came over and spoke to us in Turkish (I assume, he didn't have the decency to speak to us in English like he did with every other guest). No idea what he said, but he walked off mumbling to himself rather than telling us what he was talking about. Okay?
Their mojitos were very nice, but I removed my review from 6 years ago praising this place. It used to be great but this visit today was by far the worst experience we had on our holiday and will absolutely not be going back.
I'm sure this review won't make any difference, the location will always ensure they have plenty of customers. But it seems as though this is what they rely on because there is little else going for it now.
Full disclaimer: We were extremely courteous and respectful. We are certainly not entitled tourists who think the world revolves around them. But I think other tourists should be aware of this experience as it was pretty...

I booked a table for 6:30. We arrange on time with 4 hungry children, I’d already explained that I wanted an earlier table as we have children. We had to wait downstairs and had drinks as upstairs wasn’t ready apparently! The children then moaned for half an hour about when are we going to order the food so at 7pm I asked if upstairs was ready but really they just wanted to sell us more drinks downstairs. At 7pm we was allowed upstairs which had about 4 tables already being served. We sat for another 15 minutes with no service. This is now 45 minutes waiting!!!! The kids were just miserable and bored by now that we paid for our drinks and left!!! I should’ve just left and not paid as the experience was shocking! All they want to do is sell you drinks for as long as they can which We had planned to have a good drink but if children are not drinking alcohol and are hungry every half and hour they sit there they are bored! I don’t think we were being served food till 8 as they think they will get more money this way! I was happy to buy drinks all bloody night but I wanted some...
