It's a shame that I have to mark this as a one star. The location is beautiful. There are two major negatives, on day 4 of our holiday, I went into my purse. We had left our UK purses at the bottom of our rucksacks,(of course we should have put them in the safe but I don’t expect house keeping to go rummaging through our bags), which were underneath a load of clothes etc on the sofa, I noticed £40 was missing from my purse & asked my partner to check, in which over £100 was missing. We luckily had put our passports, lira etc into the provided safe. I noticed this on the Wednesday evening and started doubting that it was missing. So on Thursday, we tore our room apart in hope that someone hadn't stolen the money. We had no joy. I reported this to reception (the guy was lovely and empathetic) & explained that he had to do a report to his manager and to pop down the next day. I left a do not disturb sign on our room as I didn't want any staff in there for obvious reasons. On our return that evening, our room had been cleaned. I went to see about an update the next day, was told that the manager had a day off and to come back tomorrow. Which I did. As of yet, I have had no communication with anyone from the senior management team to as much as even acknowledge this. Whilst i am aware we should have locked our uk money/purses in our safe, it genuinely didn't cross our minds. Stealing is stealing. Be very aware and it is clear the management do not care. ||||In addition to this, there are a lot of stray cats. On our last day, we seen a ginger one which was clearly in distress and had a massive gauge on his right eye. On leaving, I asked the male receptionist (not the nice one whom I complained to about the theft), I said since we were leaving in half an hour, could I leave my email address and I will pay for vet treatment for the cat if they could take it to the vet, there were 2 young lads on reception and one kind of half laughed and then said the owners take care of the cats. Now, I know this isn't true as whilst playing tennis we came across a Mother and 5 baby kittens under a bush next to the tennis court. On two different days, the water bowl was bone dry and had no food out. We had bought a lot of kitten food and left it next to where the kittens were. Also, if the owners cared for these cats, the would simply neuter them. Basically, very dismissive of our will to help this poor injured cat. ||||I have given it 4 days since our return before posting this to see if management would acknowledge the theft. Of course, we know the money is gone but it would be nice to know that they are taking it seriously. ||||All in all, nice views, staff generally friendly, beds rock hard and rooms need updating, balconies are tiny. Area is out of the way and you need a taxi to go anywhere but conveniently located half way between Olu Deniz and hisarno. ||||Given our experience overall, this would be lower if reviews would allow. ||||Also, it would be a great idea if there was a box to donate money to around the resort for neutering/vet/feeding for the cats. As most of the residents are British on the resort, I'm sure they would raise enough funds to help the local charities in the area that try to do their best with...

Read moreBack for our 13th stay (June and September) at Tonoz and every year it gets better. Rooms furnishings, Breakfast room and Reception have been revamped and a few new Balcony rooms have been added facing the strip.|Reception Staff are just lovely, accommodating and couldn’t ask for better customer service – well done to you all.||Restaurant/Bar – Meal and drinks 10/10 and the new menu is amazing – just wish you would bring back Tonoz Garden Steak. Only concern is the chefs need to take more notice when an allergy has been disclosed to them, at times it was ignored, the restaurant staff were so apologetic to us and we could tell they were cross with the chefs. We noticed afew lazy staff standing around, 1 on his phone a lot, but MASSIVE shout outs to Yusuf, Ahmet, Murit, Ibo, Bilal, Eren, Arda and Ali whose customer service, always running round taking orders, checking everyone was ok and if anything else was needed was 10/10, we went to bed smiling every evening ||Gelato Bianco – the 2 guys who run this are brilliant also, both friendly and we enjoy our scoop of ice cream pool side every evening and evening after our evening walk ||Cleaners – These ladies, I don’t have enough words, their customer service, attention to detail and smiles are outstanding, they are a pleasure to see and hug everyday.||Entertainment – We didn’t really like, the 2 girls perform the same songs twice a week, so when they were on. we went elsewhere. It would be nice to have a variety of good singers😊||Only thing I would suggest to improve on is to have the poolside umbrella/parasol stands cleaned when they are put out in the morning, I always wiped mine over as it was sticky/dirty from the use the day before and looked alittle unsightly.||Last shout out is to Riza, Denizer and Errol, thanks for always making sure our holiday is the best it can be.||We look forward to returning again...
