I booked a deluxe room, only to be shocked by how tiny it actually was. My 28-inch suitcase couldn’t even be laid flat open on the floor. I initially tried to move the bed to make space — only to discover it was nailed to the floor. In the end, I had to physically remove the chair and the mini fridge from under the desk just to barely manage opening my suitcase.
The bathroom was even worse. The drainage system is a complete joke — the floor is sloped away from the drain, which is inexplicably located at the highest point. The moment you turn on the shower, the water starts pooling and overflows within a minute. I nearly flooded the entire room on my first night before realizing this absurd design flaw, and had to mop up the water myself.
Towels felt unclean, and several of the provided shampoo and body wash bottles had broken seals — some even appeared to have been intentionally diluted, as if someone had added water to stretch them. It’s hard to shake the feeling that hygiene and quality control are not a priority here.
To top it off, the hotel has a baffling policy forbidding guests from bringing in outside food or drinks — something I’ve never encountered before in any hotel. They offer four complimentary water bottles for your entire stay; two of them were already expired, and the other two were set to expire in a month.
Some of the staff are outright unpleasant. The older man at the front desk had an indifferent attitude, and even licked his finger before handling my passport — absolutely disgusting. At breakfast, the bar staff acted like guests were a burden, with openly rude behavior and zero professionalism.
All in all, this place has nothing going for it except its location. It fails in nearly every other aspect. Do yourself a favor: skip this hotel. You’ll thank...

I recently stayed at the Blue Star Hotel and had a wonderful experience. Here are some highlights of my stay:
Proximity to the Beach: The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the beach, which was incredibly convenient for us. We loved being able to stroll to the beach anytime we wanted.
Lovely Staff: The staff at the Blue Star Hotel were lovely and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. They were always friendly and ready to help with any request.
Aesthetic and Ambiance: The hotel has a really nice aesthetic, with beautiful decor and a relaxing atmosphere. The overall look and feel of the place added to the enjoyment of our stay.
Clean and Comfortable Rooms: Our room was very clean and had a comfy bed, which made for a great night's sleep. The lighting inside the room was nice and created a cozy ambiance.
Modern Amenities: We appreciated the modern amenities such as the electronic "Do Not Disturb" sign and the smart TV. These small touches made our stay more convenient and enjoyable.
While there were a couple of minor issues, they didn't detract from our overall experience:
Hairdryer Issue: Unfortunately, the hairdryer in our room didn't work. But this was not a major issue for us.
Door Lock: The door did lock securely, but the extra lock on the door, which we like to use for added safety, didn't work.
Breakfast: Breakfast was yummy, though the selection was a bit limited. Nevertheless, the quality of the food made up for the lack of variety.
Overall, the Blue Star Hotel provided a fantastic stay with its close proximity to the beach, lovely staff, and comfortable, well-appointed rooms. I would definitely recommend it to others and look forward to returning...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel for a week, and we loved it! The location is amazing, it’s 3 min away from the beach. There’s a restaurant in the hotel itself but also lots of lovely ones nearby. The food in the restaurant is very good. It serves traditional Turkish meals, as well as European ones. The delicious buffet Mediterranean breakfast includes various types of cheese, meat (sausages, ham), lots of fruit and vegetables, boiled eggs or an omelette that they make for you on the spot, sweets, bread, tea, coffee, cold water with lemon etc. The juices were not good tho. The room has got everything you need including slippers, towels, shampoo, shower gel (that they replace once you’ve run out). The AC is great (although it was right above the bed which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep under), the beds are decent. They only give you thin blankets (which is understandable) but I’d love to have thicker blankets coz my boyfriend likes sleeping with the AC on, and I was aways freezing. The water pressure is good enough, no complaints about the shower. The rooms are cleaned on demand, you just press the button. The wifi was sometimes a bit patchy but it worked. The pool is lovely, with warm water and different pool stuff to play with. If you manage to find a spot, you can park on the street near the hotel for free, if not, there’s a car park nearby, it’s around 400 lira per 24h.
The only major complaint we had is the noise. There’s a pub nearby, and they blasted very loud music till 1am, sometimes later, which made it impossible to sleep. The manager said there’s nothing they could...
