I booked the ‘special package’ which consisted of a 55 min bath, 60 min massage, foot scrub (hard skin on heel treatment) and a face mask. As I was a member of the hotel upstairs, I wanted to take advantage of the 10% offer. It was easy to get an appointment as I visited the day before. The total price came up to £50 with the discount and I was charged 1050 Turkish liras. The going rate for that particular day was about 20 liras to a pound and I was charged 21 liras to £1- felt a bit ripped off and didn’t appreciate that as a tourist.
The spa itself is spacious and clean. I requested a female therapist and this was accommodated for very well- can’t fault this. My masseuse was very friendly and professional. The massage was amazing and that clay face mask after my massage really made my skin glow! However, the bath was average and it did not last 55 minutes- all the steps were rushed. I only sat in the sauna for 2 mins when it should have been 10 and I just didn’t get the proper feeling of a Turkish bath hence I took off one star from my rating. The foot scrub is also a pumice stone being rubbed on your feet for like 60 seconds- hard skin is not removed!
As I was leaving, I was asked by a lovely member of staff how my treatment went. After addressing my concerns about the bath, she offered me a free Turkish bath but I had no availability as I was flying back home the following day so she gifted me a free exfoliating glove. This was a kind gesture.
Overall, I would recommend this spa as it has so many positives but I would say that you should clarify beforehand what to expect from each treatment to get the full value...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I intitally went to have separate package deals, however we met the owner there who is a very nice man and he took his time to come over and talk to us. He told us a bit about himself and he was very much interested in us and what we had to say. We loved the fact the owner was very much hands on and not hiding away in an office leaving his staff to deal the day to day running of the business. We ended up getting the couple package deal and it was amazing! It started off with the sauna, and unfortunately I don't have a good tolerance of saunas, but my boyfriend loved it. This was followed by aTurkish bath scrub. The room was amazing and the heated marble table where they scrub, wash and massage you was out of this world. This was followed by a further massage by two lovely ladies, Mely and Besti who gave us a both a top to toe massage. Any knots I had in my back have gone! This was finished off with a facial and a clay face mask. My only criticism of the clay mask was that I would've liked some moisturiser to be applied afterwards as my skin felt very tight and dry. But that is only a small thing and it didn't anything away from the experience of being there. I would suggest that if you suffer from dry skin, to take some moisturiser with you. Inbetween the treatments, you were offered refreshments and believe me, when you're in a sauna, and a hot Turkish bath room, you need them. Both me and my boyfriend went away feeling refreshed and we both slept...
