Horribly Racist Staff - Do Not Go!

to sum up the experience: BAD MUSIC, RUDE STAFF, AWFUL FOOD

My experience at Dragon Boat Okudeniz was beyond awful. I’ve never encountered such blatantly racist and rude staff in my life. Several staff members made the disgusting ‘tiny eye’ gesture toward us and kept saying “Ni Hao” repeatedly, despite us telling them we’re from Southeast Asia. It’s 2024—we understand that not everyone can tell exactly where someone is from, but the gesture? this kind of behaviour is beyond ignorant and unacceptable. Please get yourself educated!

It didn’t stop there. We were seated with a group of Turkish people, and when the staff asked the entire table if they needed a straw, they ignored us completely. Only after our Turkish tablemates brought it up did the waiter respond. The racism was blatant and unapologetic.

As for the food, it was honestly so bad, even the Turkish that are seated with us say that it’s just “survival food”.

On top of that, the music was almost entirely Turkish, which might be fine for locals, but it’s incredibly boring and uninviting if you aren’t familiar with their songs.

This was my last day in Turkey, and unfortunately, this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—AVOID IT...

I’ve been traveling around Turkey on vacation over the past week and have enjoyed the hospitality of the locals of this country, this has been by far the most disappointing and most hostile experience ever experienced traveling here and elsewhere. The staff has totally ruined an awesome itinerary (which all the competing companies follow) by their rude and offensively racist remarks. They are extremely pushy for drinks to tourist which are cheap by American standards. They got our drink order completely wrong (which is laughable given no one else was ordering drinks), wouldn’t even correct it and so given their attitude and poor service it’s really hard to be in the mood to party. Which by the way is only targeted at foreigners and Turkish tourist do not get the same poor treatment. This is a family filled tour with a staff under the illusion they are trying to run a Vegas night club, learn to read the room. Should’ve listened to the other party boat’s warning about this Dragon. Be warned, this is without doubt the most disgusting and disgraceful treatment you will experience by the kind people in Turkey. Not sure where they got all the good reviews, we made the mistake of picking this boat because of those reviews. Biggest regret made...

Don't allow them to have a tab for your for drinks PAY AS YOU GO ! 2 of their friends who were on the boat as patrons, sat with us for the day and asked if we wanted drinks and they ordered and we got stuck with the bill at the end They also wouldn't give me an itemised bill we àaked twice . When i told them that the guys were they ones who ordered most of the drinks and shots they just said you didnt pay for theirs . i Feel like we were scammed big time and I feel like this is common practice on this boat . I even wonder if the friends where there to order up drinks . They tried to get us on another sunset one after .
