Great experience and exceptional service.

If you’re spending your holiday in Ölüdeniz, Türkiye, the desire to do paragliding is nearly impossible to avoid. This is not only because Ölüdeniz is one of the best locations in the world to do that but also because you constantly see tens of paragliders in the air beautifully floating above you during the day. And after a few days, if not sooner, you make your mind to do that. But then the challenge is to chose the company amongst many.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND SKY SPORTS. They are one of the first in the region with more than 30 years of experience accumulated in this business. You should be very careful as there are many other companies using similar names to benefit from their brand. As you will easily discover, the prices have a huge range for seemingly the same thing, which was shocking for me to uncover. This made me to investigate more seriously. First of all, not all of them are the same in terms of pilots’ experience, material quality and their routine checks, number of flights their pilots are doing per day, insurance coverage, etc. Secondly, as far as I heard from the people I talked to, there may be hidden costs that you will uncover on the day rather than at the time of the booking, like transfer costs, insurance, etc. When I checked all these details, read the reviews and talked to the staff, it was not difficult to realize the difference of Sky Sports. Of course this comes with a cost, they at at the high end of the price spectrum. But when you think what you may sacrifice besides a bad experience due to factors many companies are using to reduce the running costs, thus the price you will pay, I do think that you should avoid the cheap options.

Let me describe my overall experience. First of all, on the day of booking, Oğuz was very professional, providing honest answers to all my questions. On the day of paragliding, we were gathered at the shop, greeted by extremely kind staff and we were offered water, coffee, etc while waiting. Then a new, air conditioned van took us to 1700m on Babadağ. My pilot, Mustafa was absolutely superb. He explained me what to do to prepare, how to behave during take off, flying and landing. Then he prepared my harness, helmet, bindings. Before we took off, a flight assistant checked everything again and cleared us for take off. With more than 20 years of flight experience Mustafa made my experience smooth, joyful and safe. After landing, he downloaded all the amazing photos and videos he took during the flight.

I am not a person who is satisfied easily, but my whole experience with Sky Sports was 100/100. The front office staff, all the pilots I spoke to before or after the event, Mustafa who was my pilot during the flight were all exceptional people. I cannot thank...

I was paragliding on the 30th of August 2018. Saw a pilot take off with a woman who was either Russian or English. The parachute did not take off well and crashed on the slope close to take off. Both pilot and passenger were unconscious and lying on the ground. I was unable to find out if it was one of my party. Later found out it was a young woman who had accompanied us but was not part of our party. Unfortunately, staff would not give updates about the condition of the woman and pilot and if they survived.

Staff were pleasant on check in but the instructions are very brief and if a person panics, just before take off, there could be serious consequences. When researching the web and talking to locals, there are more accidents and deaths than what makes the news.

Being tourists on the move, we are thrilled by the adventure but need to know the number of fatalities , accidents and real risks involved other than signing waivers.

Inexperienced thrill seekers must be at least fully informed before they take on a risk. Simply signing a waiver is not enough.

There should be clear policies and procedures available for review, names of contact persons in the event of an accident or death and at least an instructional video before taking off.

we were instructed to put away all cell phones and the accident could not be recorded and the price for a video of the flight is pricey.

While Skysport receives a higher rating compared to their competitors, i dread to think of what happens in the other companies...

My recent paragliding experience with SkySports in Oludeniz was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the team was organized and welcoming, setting the tone for an unforgettable adventure.
