Cappadocia Balloon Flights — Local services in Göreme

I was collected from my hotel on time. We picked up passengers from other hotels, then transferred to a bigger bus which brought us to the take-off area. It's quite a spectacle to see dozens of "beached whales" blossom into colourful balloons 20 metres above us. The flight itself was spectacular. We rose occasionally to 400 metres or more, then gracefully dropped to perhaps 50 metres from where we could take photos and videos of wedding parties on hilltops below. Ours and the other balloons provided the brides and grooms with a memorable, colourful backdrop to their special day. The scenery is stunning, especially from our vantage point. Volcanic pinnacles which avoided erosion from wind and water, thanks to their "caps" of harder rock subsequently deposited above. Caves, for humans and small ones nearby for their pigeons. And much more. After about an hour the pilot skilfully landed our basket on a trailer which had gone to our expected landing site. Champagne was provided as well as a certificate proving that we had the experience. A "must-do" on your bucket list, while you're still agile enough to climb...

Pick up was at 4.30am, took us to cat valley, ballon truck came with basket. Took around 30 minutes to setup and blow the ballon and excursion started. It was cold in the morning, so dress accordingly. Our basket included my family and one more family total of 10 people. And one captain of balloon. We left surface and were in air in balloon for 45-55 minutes and then landed safely. It was hard landed, but safely landed. After we had champagne (red bull) as group. We received our graduation certificate and we had speech from pilot and group photos and we been taken back to our hotels. One of the best day, one list off from check list. It was expensive however it is worthy each...

This was one of the best experiences of our trip. Very good price for an amazing service: hotel pick up, snacks and hot drinks on arrival and of course the amazing ride, afterwards you get a champagne celebration and a certificate for your ride.
