The best place to eat in Cappadocia, hands down, and a highlight of our entire trip.
We went to Rocks Terrace right after getting married. We left with far more than just an amazing food experience — we left with beautiful memories and a deep appreciation for the people behind this place.
The food is absolutely outstanding. It was fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with love. Every bite felt thoughtful and intentional — the kind of meal that makes you slow down and savor the moment. Try their apple tea! Paired with the panoramic views from the terrace, it was easily the most memorable dining experiences of our trip.
But what truly made Rocks Terrace unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of Hakan and his family. When he found out we were celebrating our wedding, he took the time to chat with us and offer advice on what to see and do in Cappadocia. His insights helped us experience the region in a more authentic and meaningful way.
Throughout our stay, we could tell that Hakan genuinely cares about the people who visit. not in a transactional or surface-level way, but in a way that feels personal and real. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it turned our trip into something truly special.
If you’re visiting Cappadocia, make this your first stop. Whether for the incredible food, the breathtaking views, or the heartfelt welcome, Rocks Terrace is a place you won’t forget.
Thank you, Hakan — we can’t wait to...

Dining at The Rock Terrace in Cappadocia was nothing short of magical. Nestled in one of the most breathtaking spots in the region, this restaurant offers panoramic views that capture the true essence of Cappadocia’s beauty—especially at sunset, when the sky turns into a canvas of colors over the surreal landscape.
But the view is only the beginning.
We had the chicken pottery kebab, and it was an absolute showstopper—cooked in a traditional clay pot and cracked open at the table, releasing the rich aromas of perfectly seasoned chicken and vegetables. Every bite was bursting with authentic Turkish flavor, a true representation of real Turkish cuisine at its best. The freshness of the ingredients and the care in preparation made the meal truly unforgettable.
What makes The Rock Terrace even more special is the warmth and kindness of the owner and the entire team. They made us feel like family from the moment we walked in—always smiling, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture and food.
This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. A perfect blend of stunning views, delicious food, and heartfelt hospitality. The Rock Terrace is a must-visit for anyone coming to Cappadocia. I can’t wait to return!

Read moreDrawn in by the great reviews of this restaurant, my family was excited to come in for dinner. The view and the atmosphere were nice, but unfortunately, we were severely disappointed by the food. We ordered three separate dishes to start, and two of them (the ravioli and salmon) were served undercooked. The third dish we ordered was the chicken pot kebab. We were excited to try this dish in Cappadocia because we heard it was from this region. However, it was inauthentic and simply not good. It didn’t taste like it was actually cooked in the pot, but instead placed in there and poured into the plate at a warm temperature. The reason I say this is because rather than cracking the ceramic open in front of us, the top of the pot had already been removed by the time they brought it over. The point of preparing the meat in the dish is to cook it until it is tender, but the chicken was overcooked and tough. We ended up leaving with barely eating our food. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially tourists looking to get a taste of authentic Cappadocian cuisine. Not to mention, the entrance to the restaurant was strange as we were led up some back stairs by a young child and passed living quarters on the way up to...
