We recently had the pleasure of dining at Franco's Holzofen Pizza in Antalya, and I must say it has quickly become one of our favourite spots. The experience was made exceptional by the amazing chef Tahir and the attentive waitress Maral.
The pizza at Franco's Holzofen is truly something special. The thin and crispy edges combined with a generous layer of cheese create a perfect balance of flavours. Each bite was a delight, and I couldn't help but appreciate the skill and dedication that went into making these pizzas.
Aside from the delicious pizzas, I was also pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of spaghetti. My son thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't get enough. The portion size was perfect, and the taste was absolutely satisfying. According to him, the bolognese he had was the best he has ever tasted in his 10 years of life. This speaks volumes about the exceptional quality and flavor of the food at this restaurant.
What impressed me the most was the consistency in the quality of food and service. This was our second day eating at Franco's Holzofen Pizza, and both experiences were equally fantastic. The staff, including Tahir and Maral, were friendly, accommodating, and attentive to our needs.
I highly recommend Franco's Holzofen Pizza to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience in Antalya. The combination of fantastic pizza, generous portions, and excellent service makes this place a true gem. Thank you to the entire team for making our visits so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning for more delicious meals...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A pizza experience worth writing home (or at least a Google review) about! If culinary heaven had a GPS pin, it would drop right on Franco’s Pizza in Kaleiçi. I wandered in expecting a decent dinner and instead walked out with a full belly, a happy heart, and a new favourite waiter named Orcun.
Orcun deserves his own star on the “Hospitality Walk of Fame” — attentive without hovering, friendly without fake smiles, and somehow managing to appear with a fresh bottle of Corona exactly when my bottle hit empty. (Is he part waiter, part mind-reader? Science may never know.)
Now, about the food. The pizza? A masterpiece. A perfect crust that’s crisp but still chewy, like it took a semester abroad in Naples before landing in Antalya. The spicy fries were so addictive I started wondering if Franco’s has a patent pending on them — crispy, seasoned just right, and with enough kick to make you reach for your drink (good thing Orcun had me covered). And speaking of drinks, two bottles of ice-cold Corona went down easier than a summer breeze on the Kaleiçi harbour.
The vibe of the place sealed the deal. It’s cozy but lively, with just the right blend of local charm and international flair. You can feel the staff actually care about the experience, and it shows.
If you’re anywhere near Kaleiçi and don’t stop by Franco’s Pizza, you’re basically depriving yourself of a very happy stomach. Big thanks to Orcun for making my evening so enjoyable — Franco’s, you’ve got...
Read moreI have no idea why this place scores so high. The place is inviting from the outside. That’s why we went there. Theres a Big wine promo signs 195 tl for a glass of table wine ( drinkable but definitely not great). They have a big pizza menu made to order so our expectations were high. It was a fail. Very soggy pizza. Not cooked properly.
We also had the veggie burger. A very small portion of fries on the side and the burger had nothing in it but a bun patty and some cheese.
The Worst part was the service. We eat out a lot and are used to wait when staff is busy. Were in no rush but what we witnessed was extremely poor service. Well they weren’t that busy. Weather was rainy so less people around. Our waiter after initially taking our drink order never came back. Ignored us completely. Our drinks which we could see from our table sat there while he walk right by a few times and after waiting quite a while I ended up getting them myself.
So do yourself a favour. There’s Way way better places to eat. And since it’s old town expect to pay a lot more. Not worth it. The higher score is one point for the location. ...
