Note: Was here in May 2022. In my opinion, you should try if you’re in istanbul. Quite a walk in the grand bazaar to come here as the whole place is huge. I hate walkingggg but for this nusret i dont mind coming (and queueing) again lol Of course the prices are a bit expensive but depends on what you order. The menu already stated the price so i wonder how/why there are ppl who are surprised looking at their bill AFTER they’ve eaten lol my sister/bro in law did all the ordering, since they’ve been here before during their previous visit to turkey few months prior. And i was really looking forward to the beef sushi which the bro In law said was really really really good and he was already pre calculating how much per piece per person should we order since it’s expensive lol we settled at two per piecer per person but, lo and behold unfortunately that day it was not on the menu. Quite disappointed as was really looking forward for the “sushi” but alhamdulillah the other dishes we had was goodd! By looking back at the only videos and pictures available, if im not mistaken this was what we had (all for sharing) - Nusret spaghetti: thinly sliced beef - i think it was good, but cant really remember the taste - Nusret special: beef cooked in butter and done on the spot and have bread on the side - this i remembered was blooodyyy goooddddd. A must order - Burger (not sure which one) and fries for the kids - not so good. I think was quite dry - Mushrooms - love it - Baked potato - i think it was alright and a good complement for the meat - Baklava with ice cream - what can go wrong with sweet things, plus had my camera ready as was already told about “the show” lol All in all even without having any steak, it is still worth it to come and try!! Only went there once and actually wanted to come again on our last day for lunch but was vetoed out and we went to deraliye terrace (restaurant with a view) instead - that will be for another story/review.

A luxury Five-Star experience that is unique and unforgettable. The presentation of the restaurant and staff simply elevates your experience and gets you hyped up for a legendary experience full of luxury and excitement. The staff all wore white tuxedos which made you feel like royalty. I attended with my family and we ordered burgers a tomahawk steak and multiple starters. For starters we ordered Beef sushi, shrimp and an onion flower. The beef sushi came neatly on a platter and was flavourful and gets you prepared for the flavours to come with the mains. The shrimp arrived on a platter and was de-shelled on our table by a waiter presented neatly on a platter of salad. If you like crispy onions your in for a treat. The onion flower was fried to perfection, not too crunchy and not too soft, full of flavour and crunch and hit all the right spots. For mains we ordered a steak and some burgers. The tomahawk steak was neatly cut at our table and seasoned with the salt bae finish. The meat was juicy, tender and melted in your mouth. The steak tasted very good with a side dipping of Truffle mayonnaise which you could tell was made with incredible and expensive ingredients. The Nusr-Et special burger was mouthwatering. One bite just sent your taste buds to heaven. It was the best 👌. The meat was filling. It was juicy. It was tender. It was everything you could hope for if you were longing for an incredible burger after shopping in the busy bazaar. The meal was very appetising and would recommend anyone who loves steak and burgers to try the place out. Staff and the service were amazing and friendly 10/10

We went for dinner post 9 pm. This specific location is at the grand bazaar, which closes at 7 pm. We happen to be there during the day, so when we got there at night it was a completely different sight. The streets were dark, puddles of water and full of trash bags. I couldn't believe that this famous restaurant would be here. The taxi couldn't even make it to the location. Had to drop us a few 100 meters away. Anyways, we saw the sign for Nusret walked into the place it was like entering a new world. Very grand hall with the restaurant placed at the centre with open seating and parts of the restaurant on the second floor. It's more like a food court style seating, not a typical restaurant feel. There are different shops around the hall like a mini mall. The AC system could be better, but that I felt it could be better all around Turkey in general as the summer was hot and humid. We ordered the blooming onion known as the onion flower and truffle fries as starters. Both were good items as fillers and added an element as the steak portion comes without any sides, just meat and a bit of bread. For main, we ordered the 2 servings size of the Nusr-Et Special Steak as it sounded good. 600 gm of meat cooked in butter yum right? However to our disappointment, the meat quality was good, but the butter, made the whole experience difficult to eat. The dish comes as a raw log of serlion, which the waiter cuts into slices and asks for the temperature you would like. I got medium rare and the wife got medium. Then they bring a hot pan and pour hot butter and cook it live. All this sounds and feels exciting and delicious. However to our disappointment the butter they used was not premium. You would expect something like Lurpak butter, but this butter had its own flavor like a lamby/ dairy flavor like a Turkish version of desi ghee, which really effected the taste of the meat. At first, I thought it was the meat, so I added more butter from the tray only to realise it got worse. Then I tired a piece without butter, and it was so good, but since the whole steak was cooked in butter, most of the meat was soaked in the butter. We had to work our way through a lamby ish beef steak and no mistake. I love lamb but this was a different flavor and it's beef so just to explain to my best of the experience. What saved the entire experience was the dessert. Their newly added Magnum Cake was excellent, along with a cup of cappuccino, which was a geart combination. I'm a 100% meat eaters but to say the dessert saved the experience is a lot. we ordered a second Magnum cake to go. Expensive? Depends on how you're looking at it. In pkr terms everything is expensive but in usd, euro or even aed terms having a steak dinner in what is a highend restaurant with starters, dessert and coffee for under 100 usd per person is exceptional. If I go to Turkey would I visit Nusr Et again? I had already heard how underwhelming the place was so I didnt go with high expectations. Going viral doesn't always mean being good. However, once I got a bite of the meat without butter, it was good quality, so I may give it another shot and stick to a more traditional steak.

The food, the atmosphere, the service - everything was so perfect! My boyfriend is a chef and really wanted to try this steakhouse as he is so famous! I was a bit worried about the prices and the quality, as I heard many stories online about how the prices are so crazy and the quality is just ok. As always, if you go to the country where the chef is from, everything will be different! Is it overpriced? Compared to Turkish prices, yes it is. BUT, you get a fine dining menu with a fine dining service and a fine dining atmosphere. Having had this kind of food experience around the world, this was not that expensive. We were in two, we had two starters, the famous Carpaccio and the Beef Sushi, then we shared the cheeseburger and the tomahawk steak paired with mashed potato and chips, and to end their signature Baklava with vanilla ice cream. Everything was so delicious, and it was brought to us by the waiters who were showing their knife skills when serving it. I mentioned it would be my friend bday and they brought the Baklava with a candle and sang the happy bday song! (Sorry, I actually forgot to mention she couldn't come at the end so I fake it was my bday, sorry!) The location is in the Baazar, but once I came in I felt I was in a different time and it was so much quieter! The waiters were so nice, welcoming and paying attention to details. Honestly, I would 100% come back there if I came back to Istanbul and I will afford it!

I had quite high expectations due to its popularity but left feeling very disappointed. The night started off bad as we went in for our 7pm reservation but was still placed in the queue along with all the walk ins. I was aware the place got busy so had made an online reservation weeks in advance. I asked the lady there why we had to queue and if it would have been the same to just walk in and she said yes. Eventually she said "don't worry we'll prioritise you" once I asked what the point of offering online reservations was. For food, we ordered the smoked beef starter, the nusret burger, lokum beef fillet, the fried onion flower and baklava. It's worth noting that both the steak cuts we wanted were sold out so we had to settle for fillets. The quality of the beef fillets was nice but it was disappointing to not get steak as that's their main signature dish. The burger was quite underwhelming and I didn't love the taste. Same goes for the smoked beef starter as well, very underwhelming. We did however like the onion flower. Baklava was good but nothing special, you can get the same taste from any street bakery. Price was lower than expected for a place of this popularity. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the place as there are plenty of better options close to this price point.

I havent gone to Nusret for many years but we were near the grand bazaar so I took some friends here as I know this location is in a very nice historic building. It was a tuesday so they were not so busy. The service was great. The showmanship of the waiters cutting your meat at the table is a bit cheesy but they had good energy. The meat selection we ordered was good. Cooked well and tasty. Carpaccio was def the best dish! And also the tacos ! Nice finish with baklava and ice cream with some waiter showmanship again. They made us cringe but in a good way. Also shared a nice bottle of turkish wine. For low expectations I was happy with our dinner but it wasnt cheap at 3,500 per person. We did eat a lot though! The wine we had was only 1,700 so its still 3,100 per person without drinks but in the old city, we have had many dinners for 2,500 per person and it was a lot worse. Not many good value and quality dinners around here so I think this Nusret location is ok to spend a little more to eat well, that is if you are a meatlover.. cant expect much from a franchise but I think this place is ok. If you do want to tick the nusret box, avoid the other locations in Istanbul.. this one seems better 👍🏻
