Off The Hook Seafood Restaurant - Airport Road — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I've been a fan of this restaurant. Always my favorite since 2017. Yas mall branch to be accurate. I also knew the staff's there. Since I work at Yas for 7 years. I went also last year in Batuta branch since my work place was in dubai. During my sister and borther's birthday we always went here since it's near where I lived.

Always, I picked the sauce "OTH SAUCE MILD"

Trivia: A staff there corrected me before because I ordered and said the Cajun please, Mild. The staff said, Ma'am next time you come back say OTH sauce. Since, I always ate there.

I know my sauce very well. I even recommended it to my colleagues,Arabic and turkish. And with the same sauce mild, and not to choose hot since it will over power the taste of the seafood. Coz I'm a seafood lover.

But recently, i went with my friend it was 7th of August. Ordered trio with the same sauce. It was my friend's first time to try. The sauce is too red and I cannot even eat it coz it's too spicy/hot. I told them this is not mild. Since I understand. I let it slide. And ask for a set of new rice. Atleast I can eat without the sauce.

And just today. We went to have lunch with my friends. Ordered trio with my sauce. The sauce is watery, it was blant. You can see the spices,yes.. but watery,no taste at all! I told the staff that it was watery and blant taste. She went to the kitchen to ask. And said, Ma'am it was the standard. I answered nicely. "Ate, you can see it's watery and matabang po talaga (it's too blant). She went again to the kitchen..I'm surprised with what she said to me. Ma'am our chef said it is the standard. You said you want mild. And I answered, Ate how many time i came here, deerfield branch, yas mall. I know the sauce. My guy friend who's also a chef said. It's not about if it's mild or not. (Referring how the level of spice) it is about the sauce. There is no taste and watery. And i know and very sure the sauce is not thick just like how I always order. I got dissapointed that they're pointing out that it is because i ordered mild. It's like we're at fault because I choose mild. Like, hello? Are you okey? Instead of pointing it out to us. Why not try it by yourself or atleast hear our concerns. And make atleast amend Or offer us to make another sauce. This is the second time and it's unacceptable that it is because we ordered mild. It's funny how the customer service was. Shout out kabayan. Since were kabayans we're not entitled to have and be serve any amendment. But, I just shut my mouth and just ate the corn and other seafood. Not the rice. My friends did not eat anymore. It's like you're eating a rice with water.

And,I will never recommend this branch anymore. Even it's a walking distance from where I live, never. Just a piece of advise. Hear what the customer's complaint and don't let the customer be at fault. We're the one who's eating and not you.

UPDATE: As a regular customer of this branch, we went there on last Friday night, the story began when we finish ordering and the waiter asked us twice if we have a Fazaa discount, and we said yes we have, here I did not feel comfortable and I was expecting that something bad will happen, and it happened. We ordered one solo, half kilo shrimp and half kilo lobester. The food came on time but the shrimp was much smaller than usual, the lobester also was small and coming with black spots inside. For the shrimp, I thought maybe this was what available at that time but when I looked at the food came to the other two tables next to us, I knew what happened. It seems when they knew tbat We have a Fazaa discount, they changed the quality of the food because for how long I am going to the branch and other branches in Yas mall and the other one also in tourist club, I have never been asked that question. When I informed the person in charge there, he simply replied "Ok I will check"

I believe this situation is not acceptable and the management should investigate this and take the proper action.

"A Delicious Dining Experience! We recently had the pleasure of dining at Off the Hook , and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a relaxing meal. As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing. We ordered Solo with a catch of crab and shrimp in OTH Special, Fire cracker as appetizer, and Crab balls with Asian Sauce.

I could tell that the ingredients were fresh and high quality, The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and the service was prompt and attentive. Thanks to Mr Renz for taking care of our needs, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
