ORIGIN 33 - THE GALLERIA MALL — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I usually have lunch at this restaurant because it’s the only “healthy” option in the mall and is conveniently located next to my gym. I often place my order before going to the gym so it’s ready when I finish and can take it with me for lunch at work. Unfortunately, the service here is consistently poor and extremely slow. Even when I pre-order, I usually end up waiting. If I decide to eat at the restaurant, the wait can be anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour.

Today, I ordered at 12:30 with the intention of picking it up at 1:30. I chose the red curry and specifically asked for the curry to be packed separately from the rice to avoid the sauce being absorbed. However, when I opened my food, I was disappointed to find that it was ice-cold and there was barely any sauce at all. As I was already at work, I couldn’t return to have it fixed. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the food is good quality and clean, which is great for those who want to eat healthily. The staff are nice, however, the team and manager at this branch are not very flexible in areas that could easily improve customer satisfaction. For example, when I asked to replace rice with a side salad -a request most restaurants accommodate, they responded, “We can’t do that unless you want to buy a lunch portion salad.”

The music they play is nice, but loud, often electronic or house music and many people come here to work in the mornings and evenings, but the staff isn’t supportive of lowering the volume, even briefly, for those who need to attend...

I live nearby and frequent origin 33 regularly , this is post gym friendly food !

I have had many of the items on the menu.

Today I went for the “Hollistic Halloumi” . It’s always solid so the the score of an 8.1/10 is high to reflect that. Fresh ingredients , well cooked and nice flavors.

Wife had eggs Benedict - 7.1 , she enjoyed it !

I want to mention the staff at Origin 33 , always helpful , pleasant and polite . A special mention for Stewart - he’s a star !

Atmosphere at mall restaurants will always be a 3 !

Overall it’s an 8.1 for Origin 33 , will continue to go back and recommend for that post work out breakfast if you want something light...
