Had a business lunch with my friend. The steak was so bad. The meat was absolutely non-chewing and had boiled, not grilled taste. When the waiter asked how’s the food I said honestly that I didn’t like the steak as it’s not possible to cut and chew it. Then he offered me to bring another knife (as he thought that if I can’t cut it the problem is in knife). I said that the knife is okay and the issue is with the meat. He ignored that part. Okay.

Later, when we asked for the bill, my friend asked to split it (means she will pay her part, as she ordered drink as well), and I will pay my part. But the waiter split the bill 50/50. Even though we didn’t ask to split it 50/50, just in my opinion it was so obvious to add the drink to her bill and I’ll pay for my meal only. But it was so awkward to change anything so I let it go. I think, that if the guest is complaining about the meal, should give him some little bit extra care and to offer something, like a complimentary dessert or drink. But not even to make him overpay for what he didn’t ask for! Such unawareness of the waiter made me think how he even can work in such a reputable hotel as Intercontinental.. Also at the entrance hostess lady said that 1 soft drink is included in the package, but the waiter said it’s not. Obviously someone doesn’t have knowledge and mislead the guests.

The octopus salad and the view from the restaurant was good though, but that’s only it. I wouldn’t come back again, even for the sake...

We had a team lunch for 12 at Accents Restaurant at the InterContinental Dubai Marina, and let me tell you...it was such a wonderful experience! Their shared family-style menu was truly impressive, offering an amazing variety that kept us all excited with every dish that came to the table. Honestly, each and every dish was delicious, though of course we all had our favorites. Absolute must-tries? Their classic strawberry cheesecake — hands down one of the best I’ve ever tasted, perfectly balanced and so creamy. The creme brulee was also outstanding, and among the savory dishes, the Cajun chicken and Angus beef brisket were real winners. The salads were fresh and flavorful, and that mushroom soup... absolutely heavenly!

If you’re looking for a place for a team lunch or just a special meal out, I’d highly recommend this spot. Lovely atmosphere, generous portions, and great flavors.
