I almost never say that I’ll never come back to a restaurant and I especially never not leave a tip because I know that hard working people in the service industry rely on the extra income, so it was with great disappointment that I can say both of those happened after my visit to Miya.
Reasons to come here: A nice view of JBR That’s where it ends!
Reasons so avoid Miya: After we were seated and placed our order they Server came back to tell us that they didn’t have the lamb chops. Minor set back so we ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. This time a different member of staff came by to tell us they didn’t have the Chicken. At this stage I was wondering if they had anything from the menu? It would have been great to know this before we sat down then we wouldn’t have stayed. Ordered the lamb kebab. Tasted like it came out of a box at a cheap supermarket Customer service is non existent! We were seated and were the only people outside. In that time not one member of staff came to check if we needed anything. Every time we wanted something we had to search for a staff member. This included when we asked for butter 3 times to two different people and only managed to get it on the third time The ladies working today really struggled to speak English and brought us toothpicks when we asked for tissues. The worst part was that the ladies there spent a large amount of time ensuring that the plates were perfectly placed and the chairs where inch perfect on every table around us but not once did anyone come to ask if we needed anything.
It’s no wonder this place is empty and after service like they they won’t be open for much longer. AVOID...
Read moreBeautiful tastefully designed interiors have always distinguished bulldozer group restaurants and in combination with sea views this particular place looks stunning.
Moreover, I have been waiting for the opening of this restaurant for two weeks. Finally visited it yesterday, but never had the happiness to try something other than the poor level of staff service.
At first, the hostess talked on the phone for about 3 minutes and we stood and waited for someone to pay at least some attention to us. After some time, the manager approached us, however, he began to set conditions to take a table for two hours with an almost empty restaurant (only one table was busy) I don't think it was a good idea with a newly opened restaurant. There are different ways to deliver message, but when you hear “I can give you a table for 2 hours only we are very busy” it made me to smile and walk away.
I am sure the restaurant's cuisine is at the highest level, knowing the people who are behind this project, but the service staff definitely needs to be more attentive and flexible.
Hope others have...
Read moreI wanted to show my parents the fireworks from Blue Waters (last minute decision!) on their last day in Dubai and without much knowledge about the place just simply craving for greek food, booked a table for dinner on the same day on a busy Friday and we were pleasantly surprised 😍 The hostess secured us a prime outdoor table overlooking the fireworks and JBR, even though the place was fully booked. The service was attentive and timely, with the staff ensuring all guests were well taken care of. Unsure of what to order, our waiter recommended some delicious dishes, which left us thoroughly satisfied, the plates were left empty 🤤 From the spreads and greek salad to the sea bream, everything was expertly prepared and portioned perfectly. The overall ambiance was fantastic, and the staff went the extra mile to make our experience memorable. I'll definitely be recommending this restaurant to my friends in Dubai. Thanks for making my parents' last day in...
