The Room Karaoke & Lounge — Restaurant in Dubai

The food is very good, the atmosphere as well is great HOWEVER the service and waiters are extremely unprofessional and liars. We made a reservation before a year ago and they did not let us in to the Karaoke Room, now a year later we thought that we should give it another try, the place does have a good ambience and exceptional food, however we were yet again disappointed. It’s a shame really, that the venue will lose customer due to the managements inability to hire professional staff that is interacting with customers. First of all, the lady at the reception does not speak English, okay no worries, maybe she is new, however the thing that really baffles us is the ability to lie to our face - on the phone they told us that the minimum charge is AED 1,000 per table for 2 people when we made a reservation. That is fine with us; we went ahead and made a reservation, we arrive 10 minutes before that “Kaorake Room” opened and were told to sit at a table and the staff assured us we will be move into the room after10PM, we ordered food, drinks and shisha and then when we wanted to move they told us OH you have to make this payment of AED 800 and now a new bill will start when you move into the room because now our minimum spend is AED 2,000. are you joking? Pls don’t waste your time on this venue and find better places in the same area; Bluewaters has MANY restaurants with wayyyyy better service and food that is just as exceptional. It’s really sad to see that owners are losing business due to 2-3 staff with inability to manage guest...

I had the pleasure of dining at The Room at Grand ZOR and it was truly a night to remember. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was mesmerizing — a seamless blend of modern elegance and vibrant energy. The location, nestled in the iconic Bluewaters area, offered breathtaking views that set the tone for the evening.

We were treated to a delightful mix of live music and karaoke — both incredibly entertaining and professionally curated. I started my evening with a classic Caesar salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For the main course, I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was divine and paired wonderfully with the steamed vegetables on the side. To sip, I chose a cocktail followed by a glass of white dry wine, both of which complemented the meal superbly.

To end the night on a sweet note, we ordered a fruit platter — vibrant, fresh, and the perfect light finish. The service was attentive and warm, enhancing the overall experience.
