We chose The Pods over other nearby options we usually go to in Bluewaters like Un Dimanche or The Coffee Club to try something new, but the experience was disappointing. My friends and I enjoy dining out and exploring new restaurants, and we don’t mind paying more for quality experiences.

The pod we were seated in was dirty and felt unprepared ( the photo I took did not do justice to what it actually looked like) No one also paid attention to the note on reservation that we were celebrating occasion. Despite a note in the reservation, it was clearly ignored. Given their strict reservation policy, no walk-ins and full "upfront" payment, we expected "better service" and "food quality" and you can see just a basic breakfast set. While the price was promotional, the overall customer experience still matters, but unfortunately, it felt like that wasn’t a priority for them.

The bread wasn’t even toasted, and the breakfast set was very basic. The green tea I ordered arrived late when all food was finished despite following up with the servers twice. There are better deals around the city offering breakfast buffets (on the same price) with higher quality food and service.

Service was uncoordinated, with poor communication between reception, servers, and order takers. We arrived ahead of time for the reservation. We placed our order early and explained we were waiting for one more friend, our food arrived late, and the instructions were not followed. The staff member responsible for taking the order didn’t acknowledge the mistake and he sent someone else to explain, which felt dismissive.

Sadly, it didn’t live up to the standards typically seen in Dubai. The food, service, cleanliness, and overall ambience fell short, and the promotional breakfast...

To start with, great location, the Bluewaters is bustling with people and the pods are placed facing the waterfront. The Pods themselves were very comfortable, great for family and friends. The cooling within could be controlled by you using an AC remote.

Well, besides a good ambience, it also comes down to food and services, which we believe that it had a near miss to what we could call 'satisfactory'.

Firstly, there are NO BABY CHAIRS, so for a family coming with an infant or a toddler, your whole time and energy will go in keeping the baby at one place and out of harm. It is a tedious job; for a place like Dubai, having a place not 'baby friendly' will eliminate an whole type of customers that travel with their babies.

Secondly, the staff was very welcoming, but, clearly inexperienced and it felt they were running around unsure what has to be done next.

Furthermore, the cocktail section did not have all the cocktails, which on the 2nd day of their opening, no customer would want to hear; though the cocktails whatever we got were indeed great. (We tried the cocktails: 'Try to Remember' and 'Watermelon Gin Bull').

Lastly, the food was, unfortunately, A BIG LET DOWN. For a place where we are paying approximately AED 300 per person, We'd expect way more than this with regards to quality of service and food.

We expected more from this place, but our first visit was a ittle disappointing. We appreciate that they have just started off, we are sure they would incorporate the feedback and improve eventually.
