The Beam — Restaurant in Dubai

So I had the beef cheek pie with mash potato and cauliflower cheese and I’ve got to say on all three , they were stunning ! Nick Alvis ( the chef) shared with me that the pastry of the pie is made with added polenta which made it so light and yet crispy and then the beef cheek must’ve been cooked forever as it was so tender- Probably the best pie I’ve ever had ( Note : I do still love Pukka pies ) . The mash is made with clotted cream ( not butter which makes it amazingly lighter) with dried potato skin on top ( stunning ) and then the cauliflower cheese is just unbelievable with crispy oven dried cheese crisps on the top. Nick , Milo and the team thank you so much for amazing food and amazing service. If you’ve not been here before you must at least put this on your list of Dubai restaurants to try. Impeccably brilliant by Nick Alvis. Nick has long been a favourite of mine but paired with the service charm of Milo, the back up chef cookery of Bojan, and an unexpected great view, The Beam is the place for me. Absolutely loved the service, the drinks trolley, the fish market, and most importantly, the food.

Proper pie, the likes you just don't see anymore, a naughty hen's egg risotto, and so many other great bites. Crowned, for me, by perfectly cooked Westholme meat. Nick delivers food that you want to eat with the minimum of fuss. The Crème Brûlée is perfect and I won't ever try another dessert. No need. Superb and really need to go back for the weekend offers / roasts etc.

We had an incredible dining experience at The Beam by Chef Nick Alvis, located at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, making us feel truly welcome.

The beef steak was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and full of rich flavors. The tomato salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, complementing the main course perfectly. Their beverages were also top-notch, crafted with precision and offering a delightful pairing to the meal.
