My recent visit to “The Food Square” at Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai was nothing short of spectacular, especially as I chose it for my mother’s birthday celebration. From the moment we stepped in, the staff, notably Sachintha and his brother, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. Their attention to detail, especially in arranging a surprise birthday cake at midnight, truly touched our hearts.

The culinary journey at The Food Square was equally delightful. Each dish, from the flavorful Mutton Biriyani to the indulgent Cheese Shrimp Pasta and the succulent Roast Chicken, showcased the chef’s expertise and commitment to quality. As an added treat, they surprised us with a vibrant fruit platter, a selection of Arabic bread, and fragrant cinnamon tea, all complimentary in honor of my mother’s special day.

I had recently visited the food square in JBR on a nice occasion as my family members had reunited. Its located is located in the centre of JBR right in front of the Cinema Parking. It was quite a wonderful atmosphere as it had some wonderful music and lights, as well as a beautiful collection of flowers on the side outdoors next to the tables which I had dined in we all, had different starters I had a nice set of chicken wings and my other family members had dynamite shrimp which I had a chance to try and it was both wonderful as the food has a good freshness and flavour and for mains, I had got a kebab mix and some alfredo pasta the taste was indescribable the quality and quantity was well over my expectations for the price we had paid and the waiters had checked ever so often to ask if the food was to our expectations and if we had required anything. at one point we had the owner of the restaurant swing by our table and give us a momentous occasion we will remember as he is very humble and kind and quiet and treated us very specifically. Then we moved on to dessert. it was kunafa a staff member from the kitchen came out and served the warm golden syrup on the warm crisp kunafa with a sweet taste to top everything we had it was an amazing experience we had at Food Square I give my personal thanks to all the staff at...

This restaurant never seems busy and my instinct told me to avoid it. I was right but it was my wife's choice. I ordered chicken wings for starters and lamb chops for mains. My wife ordered kibbeh starter and whole sea bass for main. We had a decent wait for food and then everything came out together. My starter was wrong I had drumsticks covered in sickly sweet bbq sauce. I complained immediately and the waiter just shrugged and walked off. It took some time to get a staff member to understand what was wrong. If we eat the starters then our mains will be cold. My wife did not want cold unfilleted fish. The waiter said he would take the starters off the bill. We started eating the mains, my lamb was OK but all the vegetables were raw. I detest raw broccoli. My wife's fish was overcooked and her vegetables were again raw. We complained again. We consumed the lamb, fish and drinks and little else. The bread, humus and my wife's starter were totally untouched. We were not happy. We were given complimentary fruit which everyone gets. The bill was just shy of 280 aed.
