Read moreYing Ji Dim Sum is probably the best Dim sum in dubai (not including international city). I went for their weekend brunch which is Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.
The staff: very friendly and prompt. Service was excellent and everyone had a smile on their face. Made the experience very pleasant
The atmosphere: It’s simple place w the view of boulevard. Very pretty cherrie blossoms separated the two section. Very clean, pretty and simple
The food: Well, as mentioned above, probably one of the best Dim Sum around. I was surprised that the quality of the brunch menu was just as good as the al a cart menu. Usually “all you can eat” joints quality is a bit off, but this was the same. The dumplings were well stuffed and quite delicious. Everything was freshly made and very hot (so beware and let the food cool a bit before biting into them). In addition to being delicious and good quality, the presentation and the look of the food was great. I think presentation of the food shows the care the chef gives to his/her food. Everything was yummy, full of flavor and presented very well.
So, overall, a place I will definitely come back to, bring friends and family. A must try for anyone living or visiting dubai who loves Dim Sum
P. S. As for directions, easiest way to find Ying Ji is: park in cinema parking (green P3) and use the elevator in the parking (not the mall ones), go to 5th floor, then walk to the end of Chinatown and take the escalator down, walk outside to the valet parking and it’s on the left. If in the mall, go to cinema area and Chinatown is downstairs Once you find it once, then...

Came here for their all you can eat dim sum.
The menu covered a number of favorites. Each dish was made with care and generosity in mind. The har gao had plump whole prawns, the beef noodle soup was packed with flavor. Shu mai was BIG and had nice texture that indicated that the meat was minced, not ground. Cheu fan had nice pillowy rice noodle blanketing a perfectly cooked prawn inside. Hor fun beef took me to the back alleyways of Singapore where I first had this dish.
Second round was steamed wagyu ribs (good but a bit difficult to eat with chopsticks), shrimp spring rolls (light and crisp with whole shrimps!), xiao long bao (not the best one I’ve had but I like that it had more broth and the wrap was just the right thinness). Shrimp and mango spring roll was interesting but didn’t shine as much as others.
Rounding up the experience was dessert. The bunny was too cute to eat (reminds me of a firm set panna cotta). Mango and pomelo was nice but wish there was less purée and more cubed mango. Egg tart… love the custard but pastry was a bit soggy so it broke down when lifted from the cup.
Service was amazing. Jasmine and team were spot on. Love the outfit! Dishes looked like they were cooked on order. There were many Chinese clients from different areas (I could hear Indonesian Chinese, mainlanders etc) which tells me that this is a legitimately...
