Relaxing & friendly atmosphere including staff and co-wine tasters. The gratitude of nibbles offered 🫴 much appreciated. Marketing wise , guys, how clever indeed! Owners and staff are friendly & adequately professional. The price included only the drinks tasting and some nibbles were on top. In comparison to other similar events I d say it was overrated. As I am also organising events & supper clubs for my Alex's Greek Cooking business in Bath, price wise I shall say it was on the high end , for an event that lasts 1h and 45 minutes but perhaps for some people justified with all the recent cost of life increases etc. I reckon a slightly lower price in combo with the Complimentary tapas might attract more 😀 happy people . Nevertheless I just realised that the price has gone about 20% up from one month to the other and from nnow on is more pricey than in the summer , so I would sadly but definitely not visit soon. One main marketing principle is to try to keep clients , not raise up the price so much every few months that the existing clientele can't come but new even more affluent will.

Without doubt, the number one place to eat in Bath. The restaurant is relaxed, great for lunch with a few friends or dinner with a group of clients in all seasons of the year and the food never disappoints. There’s a lovely outdoor terrace and garden which is perfect in the summer and in the dark nights of the winter there’s a warm, cosy atmosphere and before you know it your full of wine, it’s 11 o’clock and time to go! The food is creative, but not fussy, simple sharing plates are a great way to eat and excellent value. Push the boat out and the most you will pay is £50 per head. The staff’s knowledge of the menu is incredible to explain all the dishes and the menu changes frequently so there is always a reason to go back. I can empathise with the suggestion of a wine menu and list, but don’t let this put you off, the wine is really good value and it’s far better to take a recommendation and be a little adventurous based on your tastes and that also makes Corkage what it is. The only let down is the coffee... but it’s all about the food and wine, so you can’t have everything?

Went there for dinner on a Saturday evening. The place was rather busy and quite understaffed. It took over 40 minutes for us to get the first dish from when we arrived, and that's at a place that serves mainly small plates to share, which are supposed to be served as they are ready. They forgot about one dish as well altogether, and when it came it arrived cold. That said, service was very friendly and they were very apologetic. They even comped us one of the dishes. The food, when it finally arrived, was really good though. Well cooked, seasoned, and presented. Local food with a twist. However, it's hard to enjoy the food or the atmosphere when you to wait so long and keep reminding them.

I'm giving this 3* only because of the attitude of who I can assume was the manager.

We originally booked our table as a party of 5 and due to a last minute medical situation 2 had to drop out en route. We arrive and say we need to change our table size to the manager who for the course of the next few minutes lectures us on the fact he is potentially missing out on hundreds of pounds and has been turning people away and if we'd said sooner he could have moved us to a smaller table, even when we explained the change was very last minute he didn't want to hear it. All valid points he made if said once but 4x was a bit irritating to say the least! There was no never mind at least you're here.

Onto to the food which was fantastic I usually take loads of pictures of food in places I go but I was too into it to bother. Not a bad dish came out, the waiting staff were great and the wine selection was fantastic so much so we left with 3 bottles.

Finally the venue is dog friendly, we were staying on a narrow boat so a place that would allow us to take our dogs (we had 3) was a factor. We were in what used to be the exposed terrace area at the back. It's now been covered and they've done a beautiful job of making it a warm and wind protected space.

All in all I do recommend the place and I would 100% go back. My comment specifically to the manager is you should think about your customer interactions, our party of 3 spent a significant amount of money, we could have changed our mind from your first...

A very nice atmosphere, cosy wine and small dish concept, everything would have been perfect if the manager had not been so unkind and unconsiderate. I kindly asked if it would be okay to change tables as we wanted to seat in the main dining room and he had just sat a couple there who didn’t have any reservations, while we had one. He answered really rudely and without any apology that it was not possible because it was booked, in a very rude and snooty attitude. It’s okay he couldn’t move us, but there is a much nicer way to answer your clients, he made me feel very bad to the point we almost left. Then we ordered a bottle of wine but it was not mentioned on the wine list that the wine was actually a « natural » wine, which is not a small detail because the taste can be very special and not to everyone’s taste. We drank without complaining but at the end we wantwd to give a nice feedback. At the end we kindly told the staff that it would have been nice to specify on the menu when it is a natural wine because we would have liked to know before ordering, and when we ordered, the waitress didn’t tell us it was a natural wine, and again, a very snooty waiter told us off, telling us 70% of their wines were « natural » and that he didn’t care mentioning it. We were simply kindly advising him that it would be better for him and for clients to mention it on the menu and he was super rude and defensive in return. Really too bad there is such an unkind staff overall, because the food was good abd prices...

Visitied on 7th April 2025 with my partner, and we had been really looking forward to it. Although we hadn’t made a reservation, we were seated quickly, which was a great start. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The tomatoes, sole, and bread with smoked butter were absolutely fantastic—definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the dessert, a pistachio cake, didn’t quite live up to expectations.

The main reason I'm writing this was service was also a bit inconsistent. Both myself and my partner work in hospitality and have for years - our waitress appeared to be new (not a problem in itself as everyone has to start somewhere) but was on her phone near our table several times, which felt unprofessional especially in such a intimate restaurant making it hard to ignore. On the other hand, there was one individual (wearing a blue and white striped shirt) who seemed to be managing the floor. He was clearly very busy but was friendly, attentive, and really tried to ensure everything went smoothly and definitley deserves praise. I overheard a few guests complaining about some issues, but we didn’t experience any of those ourselves. It was clear he was doing his best, and I felt bad for how he was being treated. Overall, it wasn’t quite what we expected, but I still appreciated the effort from...
