Went there to seat by the window and experience the best coffee. Ladies serving were patient polite but clueless, not knowing how to serve a cold matcha with a strong coffee shot i it, not asking me how I wanted the other iced coffee, which my request was very simple but they went straight to create that awful overcomplicated iced coffee on their menu full of syrup and artificial foams. An iced coffee should just have strong portion of coffee and foamed milk on top. That's it. Half gallon of watery milk in it should be optional. And for the price we customers should be able to choose how we want our coffee. I avoid all big places were the coffee menus are set. I have been doing that for the past 30 years. I came to that place cause it was not another chain coffee degradation. Anyhow, the table was too low in front of the window, the chairs too. The window was covered in filth. You can tell was never cleaned. The croissant somehow managed to have a hair on it, and the music sounded like heart radio (vomit) which i think it wad the worst part. So not wasn't much different from "another chain" place...not cosy, not personal, not vibrant, my brownie was another overpriced brownie like any other, same as my matcha, same as everything there from start to finish...we looked everywhere in Birmingham for something different and was disappointed...not coming back. So much money...

Very disappointed with how management have treated staff here . Not giving anyone notice and telling a staff member that that day was there last day was disgusting. We have been coming for months and Steve was an absolute delight and a pleasure to see when me and the family came in. He actively kept the tables clear and his customer service was out of this world. He alway made sure everywhere was spotless whilst everyone else was on there phones chatting behind the counter. We were disappointed when this happened. We were there at the start and he was employed with a zero hr contract . I'm sorry to say you've let one of the the best team member go. Me and my family of 7 will not be returning again because if that's how you treat staff infrount of paying customers I'd hate to know what you do behind closed doors.

The place since Serena left is going to the dogs . I only kept going because of the one nice staff member and now he's gone .

100% do not recommend unless you want dirty tables , stale food and...

I've been to this place a few times by myself. I've always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Today I bought my partner this morning for the first time, unfortunately the service was terrible. We ordered two teas, full breakfast and a Sonut. We were the 3rd customers in the venue around 9.15am. After 30mins, we were left wondering where our order went. We saw that the lady serving the food was going up to random subsequent customers who had only just sat down and started serving them the breakfasts we had ordered 30 mins prior. I went up to the counter and they said they'll do it for me now but they also lead me to believe that the order had gotten misplaced as the lady making the food started to fumble around with the order receipts on the oven doors. After 40mins we finally had our breakfast, only after we had reminded them. We ordered a further two teas and the lady gave us one of the four cups of teas for free. I don't think I'll come here again. There was no structure in how the...

Possibly the most awful coffee shop I have ever been to and I’m 55! Forget the coffee, it was ok. Forget the almost non-existent food snacks available. I’m simply talking good old fashioned but super important cleanliness and hygiene. Just look at the photos! I went up to the counter and offered to clear up the tables and wanted to ask for a broom. I said “if you’re here alone can I help clear up?” I was politely refused and that’s understandable. There were two other staff around but nobody seemed interested in prioritising table clearing. There were no clear tables when we arrived and we had to move stuff on to another. I’m talking ten or so vacant table settings with dirty plates and cups etc. How does it come to this? Finally I saw one man clear one table but the other nine or so have not been touched. This is half hour since we arrived. Just don’t go until the management have sorted this out.

I came to the Soho café this morning planning to buy a coffee and cake. I stood front of the cash desk for over two minutes — the staff were not busy at all, they were just chatting and laughing with each other. I said “excuse me” politely, but no one responded because they were too absorbed in their own conversation. In the end, I had to raise my voice and say “excuse me” loudly enough for everyone in the café to hear. Only then did I get any attention. I really don’t understand why the staff would rather chat among themselves than serve a customer who is clearly waiting. I was frustrated and disappointed. I like this café, but unfortunately I can’t control the staff’s attitude.

We went here today 24.12.21 and had an amazing coffee and veggie brunch. The brunch was absolutely delicious. Think we have found our new coffee shop.Really liked how airy and spacious it felt too.Quite nice especially during times when some like myself feel nervous to go out.The chef was lovely too,she came out and checked that we were OK without the coriander as they didn't have it.
