So I went to reina bar a few months ago to see my brother that is a security guard. He wasn't working this night unfortunately, and was greeted at the door by a man that was so rude ONDER. I was told I could not come in to the venue! I returned another night as my brother told me to come by. The same guard allowed me as he knew now who I was, any time after that he would be okay with me coming in. My brother does not work at this venue no more, last night I passed by to have a drink as I always had done whenever am in Bristol and this same man spoke to me so rude and declined me entry saying they don't allow single men even though am a paying customer some good nights I spend between 150 and 200quid on drinks some bad nights maybe 50quid and said your brother doesn't work here anymore! I waited around for a bit and watched him allowing single men into the VENUE all white and Turkish not one single black man. A security from inside came out as he knew who I was to try and allow me to come in and the same man ONDER was also rude to him! I have been told by a lot of people that this man does not like black males. Awful front doorman, a shame as the security inside is very professional. This man is not qualified to be on the door, so if you are black.. be aware this man called ONDER Very unprofessional and bad for business. Security guards, bartenders and the DJ are amazing and very professional apart from one security who's name is ONDER very rude and arrogant. Getting rid of ONDER will do good to the...

Although we were in a mixed group in the queue, we were singled out due to being persons of colour. Whilst asking what the issue was the security let in 4 Caucasian males infront of us and continued to say āthese are instructions from managementā. Fortunately there were witnesses there who also were disgusted with this behaviour. Bristol is usually a safe place but I felt belittled and marginalised. This is not acceptable.
A message to security, do not call us ābrothersā as this is no way you would treat a brother. I hope your management receive training in equality and diversity. I am very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been to Reina a few times over the last few years and have always had fab cocktails however, not so friendly staff and security. I went last Saturday for the first time in a long while and I noticed the change in staff and security who all are friendly and approachable. The head of security was super friendly and funny, he made me and my friends laugh and made us comfortable to approach them if anything was to happen. Itās a nice multicultural environment with great r&b, hip hop and classic hits for all to enjoy. I am not from Bristol so itās nice to recommend to any friends who are going...
