We went on Wednesday night with the "Eat out to help out" deal and didn't book a table so the place was very busy so long waiting time was understandable. The restaurant follows the Covid-19 regulations with hand sanitiser, under shoes spray and asking you for telephone number and postcode. The seats are spread out and has barrier so you feel safely distant from the other customers. The food was amazing! We ordered takoyaki, miso soup and Sumo sushi platter. Takoyaki - taste good. Nice and crispy outside. Ok amount of octopus Miso soup - perfect. Not too salty like some places, loads of seaweed and tofu. Sumo sushi platter - 10/10 for presentation! Sashimi was fresh. The sushi rice was soft yet firm (it didn't just collapsed when you pick it up). I enjoyed every single piece! Hard to pick a favourite!
The toilet wasn't the best. There is only one to share but they kept it clean. Nothing much else to say about it. The decoration. Lively but not too cluttered. Really nice to look around. It was really hot outside and the restaurant has open kitchen but they manage to keep it nice and breezy when you're inside. Overall it was enjoyable dinner. The down side was that they didn't accept card. Not sure if they usually don't accept card or there's a problem with the card reader.

Read moreWe went as a group of 6. They took a very long time for our orders. Even when the first orders came they only brought out half of our food. My other 3 friends had to wait even longer. Then they brought out one of their orders and my last two friends waited even longer! By that time our food went cold and we couldn't even eat together. They kept saying it will be quick but it was anything but. The dumplings were good, but overall the food was bland. The stir fry tasted of raw ingredients not even blended or cooked properly. The ramen soup was ok but the contents inside were bland. The jasmine tea tasted like hot water. The service was horrible. I understand it is a small restaurant but if you cannot handle big groups then let us know before charging us full price for a bad experience. On top of that all they gave for compensation was a £5 voucher to be used at their restaurant and this voucher had an expiry date for next week. Don't go as a group because they won't be able to handle it. The waiter seemed extremely rude to us aswell, he didn't let one of my female friends order what she wanted, he instead suggested another item cause he thought she couldn't handle the spice of it. But he was fine in letting my male friend order it. Overall it was not a...
Read moreI used to be a regular, but stopped coming 6+ months ago due to the hygiene of the tea pots of the green tea I thought it was disgusting. I thought to give it another shot today, I was even more disappointed with the Ton Katsu Don rices and Unaigi Bento's rice. The rice was hard and didn't even feel like I was having sushi rice it wasnt soft and sticky, felt almost like ordinary rice and hasnt been cooked properly. The worst part about the Bento box the tofu was sour, so I believe its beginning to go off and they still served it. Then towards the end some of the rice in the Bento box tasted weird like soapy, I hope they have been rinsing their dishes properly after wash, and they must have forgotten our Bento box as everything was almost finished and it still hasnt arrived, we had to chase it, and even after chasing it didn't come till 15mins later. Finally, the Teriyaki Seafood Udon was absolutely brilliant in flavours, however the beansprouts within absolutely ruined it, as it wasnt fresh so it tasted funny. I hope there's improvements can be made as you used to be my favourite sushi place. Overall, the service was lovely, nice staffs, very polite...
