Arrived here just now after not having been here for a while. Not impressed with how the standard has dropped. It's a total ripoffnow guy at the counter was brusk and unhelpful. When I asked him to have my eggs scrambled (not a outrageously extravagant request I thought) have said it's another 40pence extra. The breakfast is £5.95 for a decent size so I'm not to worried about that then they wanted another 50pence for card payments plus another £1.20 for a cuppa tea which took the whole fiasco to nearly £8 bloody ridicolous. That's taking the piss trying to milk money left right and centre out of people like that really bad and I'm not impressed at all. Breakfast at tiffanies indeed you pay tiffany prices and all. I wanted a fryup not a share in the company. For that price I expect a blimin' head massage as you get a heart attack when you see the bill. They are charging way to much for that its not a 5 star dining place like the grand hotel so its a joke really apart from the fact that It's not as good as it used to be here. When I lived in brighton I used to come here all the time and it was lovely, good food and a treat now it's overpriced and not a pleasure anymore. So I shall never ever go back here. 2 stars only because the food was nice or it would have been 1 star. Sort yourself out and stop...
Read moreEntering the cafe wasn’t very welcoming. The guy who served us, said they didn’t have any paninis when we went to order, which is fine, but when we asked for the same filling in a sandwich instead, he made out it was an issue, then said yes anyway. He wasn’t at all helpful and communication was extremely poor. Lastly, as we got our card out to pay, he said cash only, but then turned around and got the card machine out as we we’re thinking about how we were going to pay. The food that came out was OK but there was very little filling and it was a bit dry as the bread wasn’t even buttered. We also noticed issues with another customers service and food, of which that he was very rude in dealing with...
Read moreWhat a breath of fresh air, in a town full of overpriced pretentious 'Juice Bars' serving mostly only pastries for breakfast. We'd almost given up on finding a 'full English' breakfast anywhere. This place has a simple, brilliant and very unique business model, which allows you to create your own breakfast - meaning you don't end up with things on you plate that you end up not eating but paying for like you often do anywhere else - eg: mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding. Honest prices, honest food, if you're looking for a traditional breakfast look no further. Coffee is...
