Me and my friend decided we would try something new and have a quick bit to eat at Casa Della Pizza... what a mistake. We looked up at the sign inside the shop which said all you can eat is only £5.99 so we thought hey, why not. Little did we know in tiny letters it said Friday-Sunday £7.99. We were shocked when we saw the bill. Not realising, we thought we could share 1 plate between us however this was not the case. We got our one plate and started piling on the food. We then sat down and started to eat but some waitress came over to us and told us we could not share. She then asked me if I wanted a plate not making it clear that I also would have to pay £7.99. Complete rip off. The food was very poor, in fact it was below average. The food was cold and there was hardly any pizza or garlic sticks left which was the main excitement. I decided to not touch the plate the lady had given me as i didn't want to pay. I simply ate 1 olive while my friend forced down some soggy bland onion rings and chewed on some under cooked chicken. He then decided he was full so we asked for the bill and to our surprise they had charged us for 2 meals. The bill was over £15! We spoke to the lady who told us I had to pay because she had "seen me eating food off my friends plate" which was a complete lie. We refused to pay for my plate, especially after finding out we had been scammed and it was almost £8 each anyway. She went to find the manager who spoke to my friend and stated that we should have known we couldn't share and that it wasn't his problem. My friend said yes I understand but it didn't say anywhere that we couldn't. Then getting really frustrated the man said that we had been here before and that we had done the exact same thing. Utter lies once again. We both said we had never been before and this was our first time. After a lot of huffing and puffing he finally gave in and allowed us to only pay half the bill. He told us we could not do this again and we replied don't worry we wont be back. All in all the service was satisfactory the atmosphere was a bit groggy but hey what do you expect. Also the food was pretty terrible. The one star I am giving is for the one olive I had because to be honest that was the only nice thing and the only thing I had that whole time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould not recommend at all for families with little children. Visited today with my 2 young children (4) My child did not feel well so was not going to eat much, 1 slice of pizza on the plate. First waitress suggested we only pay for one child. My other child put 1 slice of pizza, few pieces of cucumber and tiny handful of pasta on the plate. We have added similar amount of pasta to the other child too. Both plates together did not fill the plate to a standard child portion. Mind you it was an unlimited buffet. I have ordered salad buffet and my partner standard full buffet only fancying a couple of pieces. I have given my children one piece of melon from my plate (I have paid for). At that moment extremely rude waitress came over to announce we now have to pay a full price for the other child because he was given more food, from my plate.
We were watched the whole time, the place was dirty (especially toilets) and staff were shouting across the place at each other ācommunicatingā. My kids together eaten 1 slice of pizza, few pieces of cucumber and small amount of pasta. Two full paying adults. The table next to us eaten 3 full plates each adult whilst we were there. I have not experienced such greediness in a long time. Mind you weāve been eating out majority of our Brighton stay and have only had the best experience wherever we went with our kids. We will not be returning and I would really suggest to any parent to look somewhere else.
And if you go make sure you donāt share any of your food with your little child as you are being watched.
When I was chatting to my partner the rude waitress was eaves dropping and then came to talk to us about our experience in a very argumentative manner causing a scene for the other tables, but still failed to explain to us how can she think £15 for the tiny amount of food my kids had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO CONTAMINATE YOURS AND EVERYONE ELSES FOOD IN THE ESTABLISHMENT!
My review was also on their Facebook page which they have now deleted entirely, and also on their tripadvisor page which they have posted 3 fake positive views to hide it to the second page.
āYouād like to think that in a pandemic restaurants would be doing all they could to keep hygiene levels to a higher standard than usual.
Unfortunately Casa Della Pizza have failed spectacularly in this department.
So instead of picking your own food at the buffet they have a station where someone picks the food for you, which is fine in most scenarios.
But when they insist you bring the same plate to the counter instead of a new one and the person is handling everyoneās plates one after the other with no gloves AND no hand washing between serving people.
We were in there for half an hour and the person manning the buffet didnāt wash their hands or even use sanitiser once.
So if anyone did have Covid-19 in that restaurant, unfortunately everyone else will have likely got it too. Not even talking about Covid itās bad practice but worse with the situation the world is still currently in.
Spoke to the manager who said meal would be free but as we were rightly annoyed were asked to leave, Iām guessing so the other people in the restaurant didnāt hear.
In a nutshell - no l would not recommend you eat here, food was average at best but with a potential side helping of Covid I donāt think...
