This will be easier to bullet point. ordered for delivery for the family Total Cost - £54.50 inc £3.50 for delivery. Restaurant then accepted the delivery request. Rang us asking if we would mind putting the delivery charge up to £5 because of distance, we said not a problem. Food arrived on time. Requested another £5 not the agreed £3.50 + £1.50 to make £5. This took the total meal cost up to £59.50. Restaurant refused to take a phone call to discuss whilst delivery driver was at the door. Finally got the food in to find the photos below. Chips were anaemic, might as well still be raw potato. Curry containers were that squashed all 3 curry’s had mixed together and half of the curry was in the bottom of the bag, a complete disaster to actually dish up, especially considering two were hot curry’s and our 4 year old was having a korma. The Korma as you can see was again really poor, no flavour and really bitty / powdery texture. All in all a really poor experience, barely any of the food touched a complete waste of £60.
We’ve only done 2 reviews before both for exceptional food. So this is a first for us but honestly just such a...
Read moreArrived with high expectations as heard good things about Mr Khan and the restaurant. We arrived at 7.15pm and we were placed upstairs. The atmosphere was not great very quiet and no background music on. We were seen to very quickly by the lady waitress. Their was 4 of us dining and we all ordered starters and main courses. We ordered our food at 7.25pm. We were not seen to again by any member off staff. it came to 8.30pm and still no food. We asked the waitress how long and her reply was 'It will be a while still'. No apology or keeping us up to date. Me and my family were disgusted by this service and we all agreed to had to leave. Mr Khans wife was also very rude no apology and saying they were busy...... this is fine but to not even check on your table for well over an hour? Mr Khan offered us 20% off and did try rectify the situation but this wasn't enough and we left. I cant believe they even charged us for the poppadums! Shocking service will not be returning and will put anyone off going. We went to Tikka Tikka round the corner spent £100 on food and drinks and got our starters and mains within 45 mins. Please...

After a long day of walking, we arrived in Scarborough - a town we had only known from the song until then. It turned out to be a fairground, with lots of popular opportunities for teenager, but not many restaurants.
We wandered around, to find out that most of the restaurants seemed to be closed (by Covid?) and we became a bit despondent. Until around the corner we saw the sign for Cinnamon.
We had no idea what to expect, but it was getting later and later, so we went in anyway and took our chances. And how glad I am that we did!
It is a real family restaurant, with a nice, relaxed atmosphere, where the father takes the orders and the son comes to pour you drinks. The food is divine. The best peshwari naan I have ever eaten. Delicious vegetarian dishes (especially the dal), fast and personal service, everything you could wish for. And for a very reasonable price.
I wish all lost hikers would find their way to this great little restaurant. If it wasn't so far away, I think I would want to eat at Cinnamon's every day, just to taste all the dishes...
