Nice atmosphere place with Greek music playing! Let's make a separation however that atmosphere is one thing, but value for money food is another.
There are some serious pricing issues here however given the location is down an unglamourous side street off of the prom.
Prices for starters are extremely expensive for what they are. You can't charge tzatziki for a fiver! It's made (supposed to be) made with Greek thick and creamy yogurt (was made with cheaper runny yoghurt), shredded cucumber, chopped garlic, chopped dill, and a bit of olive oil on top. How can you charge an exhorbitant premium for something that costs pennies to make in comparison?! This is a rip off.
The amount of meat now in dishes. We ordered two meat dishes that had minced meat kebab in it. The amount of meat used was supposedly 300 grams!!! It was less than half that and wasn't even cooked on a charcoal grill. Each dish cost about £15. Where is the meat??? It was absolutely stuffed with cheap carbs too gloss over the fact that there was next to no meat. We still felt hungry after eating the supposed main meal.
For such a premium price (again this is in an unglamourous side street) I'd expect way more meat (I've been to a number of local eateries that are taking the absolute mick giving you tiny bits of meat- shameful!). Anatolia on the sea restaurant in St Annes charges a premium like Efes, but they are on the marina!!! It's a big difference to being situated in an unsightly side street off the prom.
Efes must consider such glaringly obvious problems very hard, That way they may stay afloat after 2 years which is the make or break period for any new business. It needs to be way cheaper and delivery value for money.
Efes is a family business and I do wish them to be successful, but they need to deliver value for money, where we felt absolutely cheated for the high bill we paid and still left from...
Read moreWe recently visited the Efes branch in Blackpool after hearing a lot of good food about Efes. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they even offered us a few complementary items to try, which we appreciated.
However, there were a few issues with the food and service that left us a bit disappointed. We ordered a platter that was clearly mentioned to come with rice and bread, but it arrived with bread and lentils instead. Another dish we ordered was supposed to come with sauce but was served without it. When we pointed it out, the staff did bring the correct version and mentioned it was complementary, but by then it was too late for us to enjoy it properly.
We also asked for still water but were given sparkling. We didn’t ask to change it since we had already requested corrections a couple of times.
Overall, while the service was polite and the gesture of offering extras was nice, the experience didn’t fully meet our...

We had lunch today at your Turkish restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below acceptable standards. The lamb—one of the main highlights of Turkish cuisine—was not cooked properly. It was tough, underdone, and lacked the tenderness and flavor one would expect from a dish that should be slow-cooked and seasoned to perfection.
Not only was it difficult to eat, but it also raised concerns about food safety. Undercooked lamb is not just unpleasant—it can be hazardous to health.
This is a serious lapse in kitchen quality and attention to detail. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that meat is properly prepared and checked before serving in the future. We left the restaurant disappointed and dissatisfied, which is a shame because we know Turkish cuisine has so much to offer...
