I’m Vietnamese living in Chester. When this place opened advertising authentic Vietnamese street food I was SO excited thinking I would be able to enjoy food I miss from home. We ordered a bunch of dishes like the Viet salad (gỏi gà), mini bánh mì, spring rolls and a few other dishes. These dishes were fine but I feel offended and disappointed as they weren’t authentic as claimed. There are some distinguishing ingredients and dishes which are recognisable as Vietnamese but they are all modified to cater a wider range of audiences. I came here with my friend to eat Vietnamese food but ended up wanting to try Hainanese Chicken Rice and Thai Milk Tea. Thai milk tea was literally amazing; the tea was strong with a decent amount of sweetness. For Hainanese chicken rice, I honestly didn’t expect this, but it’s over my expectation; the sauce was sour and a bit spicy, I would say it’s the taste I have been craving for. This is some of the nest phò I've had in a long time , the herb mix is perfect , the dish is complex but the broth is light , strong flavour but light , there's a decent amount of chilli with optional extra , goes great with the chef reccomended side sauce .decent portion size ,

The summer rolls where great, fresh tasting and crunchy with a peanut side sauce

Oh and the coffee, I dobt usually like sweet coffee but the condensed milk coffee compliments everything Mwah , chefs kiss...
