Absolutely lovely little hidden away gem of a place! First visit and we will be back, service was spot on, lovely ladies and could not be any more helpful. There are GF options and I opted for a tuna sweetcorn wrap with red onion chutney. I was informed that on double checking ingredients the chutney did in fact contain gluten so this was substituted for a balsamic glaze. No extra charge for the GF wrap. My only criticism was the portion size was small, a forkful of coleslaw, a few leaves of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes (which I don't like) I was still hungry. Maybe some more salad or a few kettle crisps on the side would of been ideal. There are no children's options although I was told they could basically do whatever they would like which was lovely but a children's choice with a drink included would be a good idea. The jacket potato was really soft and a good size. A lot of sweet options included 4 GF, unfortunately two were chocolate orange flavours and I don't like them but the brownie looked amazing. It was busy today but this did not stop the service been fantastic. Before we left we were already discussing going back!

I visited Hull for a weekend, and you know what? I found my favorite spot here! It's an amazing place in Hull! The food was so delicious, and the menu is full of GF and vegan options. The halloumi salads, falafel wrap, and cheesy toast were really good. We also loved the matcha and the blue latte with spirulina—definitely worth a try! The place is full of cozy details, very clean and aesthetic. It has outside seating as well. It's located in the city center, but away from all the busy streets. So, if you want a quiet, lovely place with an amazing, smiling, and friendly team, this place is for you. They also have incredible options and so many varieties of teas, which you can enjoy while sitting there or take home. The lovely and super helpful lady, who is the owner, was super nice and mindful while we were choosing our teas! Highly recommend—don’t miss this spot in Hull!

Why have I never been in Liquid Jade until today? I have no idea because it is absolute gorgeous! To be fair, it is tucked away through a passage at the side of The Works, but it obviously has a great following as lots of customers arrived during my prolonged tea and cake break. The main entrance into the cafe is via a short flight of steps but there is a lovely courtyard seating area which is just a few feet further on and on the level. Decor is lovely-lots of local photographs, splashes of bright sunny yellow and colourful furniture. The staff are lovely and service very quick. Good to see gluten-free cake options. I just had tea and gluten free cake but all the food looked and smelled very tasty. Will definitely visit again.

Liquid jade, stands out from EVERYTHING in town center especially these days

For a start you’re treated like human if not like family every single time you step foot in this place

No it’s not an up tight fancy pants suit and tie place, and it’s doesn’t pretend to be either, however the service will always be respectable you’ll never be spoken down to or thought of as lesser if you’re not sure about a flavoured tea, everything will be explained to you if you’re not sure and again might I add that you’ll be spoken to like a normal person !

Majority of the cafes in town would/will treat you like scum, they’ll take your order and you’ll never speak to them again

You don’t get that at liquid jade if you want a full blown conversation you’ll get that! If you want to be left alone then so be it,

For me I’m an overly anxious person and from day one over 3 years ago setting foot in here was like going into a family member house, and nothing has changed since…. other then I waffle on like crazy and don’t leave 😂

Just trust me go and enjoy yourself. You won’t...

This is heaven for tea lovers! And heaven for coffee and cake lovers! Helen, the owner, has set up an amazing little cafe with Liquid Jade. She specialises in loose-leaf teas and has a tea menu which is 5 or 6 pages long. They are all also on display in jars. I went for the kiwi and strawberry one. It came served in a high-quality glass teapot, which kept the tea warm for ages. It also came with a pretty sand ‘egg’ timer to measure the brewing time. The cakes were all also really fresh and delicious. I went for the orange and lemon one.

The cafe decor is bright, cheerful and relaxing, and Helen clearly takes pride in the cleanliness of her establishment. Her customer service really was second to none. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about tea and has even been to a tea plantation in Sri Lanka.

The cafe also serves savoury dishes, but we arrived mid-afternoon so were interested in the tea and cake. It’s great she has an online shop too. Highly...
