Shocking. Usually have a pleasant meal/service but the service was awful on this occasion and the worst I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. We ordered a few dishes but one chicken dish tasted like it had gone-off (freezer type) and had an unpleasant and strong chicken flavour. We told our main waitress and was happy to feedback this to her boss. Then what seemed to be the manager came to our table with a very passive aggressive body language and after we told her what we felt was wrong she argued with us as if we were wrong. As a customer who wants to politely give feedback a manager should not ask ‘why. it’s chicken. it’s supposed to taste like this / plays with the food look it’s not dry’ . No interest in taking feedback professionally just argumentative as if we approached her with attitude. We had to reassure HER that we liked everything else and not to worry, and told her just to take this constructive criticism coming from a regular customer. We requested a refund as we could only eat some of the rice within the dish. It didn’t stop there. She proceeded to come back to our table and clean it then said snidely ‘this time I will give you discount but next time you come back I’m not doing it’ in a very negative and rude tone. This was uncalled for. It’s a shame a decent place is trying to drive away customers by arguing when given feedback. Truly shocking, leaving us all with a bad vibe. I hope she learns from this and treats customers professionally...

We visited recently. Second time for my wife. We love this place. A quaint place in size with a few tables I'd say max group size is 10 but be prepared to wait unless prebooked (highly recommended).
Service is fast with a diverse menu.
We ordered miso soup, chicken wings - Korean and salt/pepper flavour, pumpkin maki, avocado roll, beef lo mein and the duck rice.
I must say the fish looks amazing and every other meal we saw looked stunning.
The miso was hot and flavourful - a decent earthy effort.
The wings were delicious. We preferred the sticky sweet Korean flavour but the salt/pepper was still very good.
Loved the pumpkin maki, my wife preferred the avocado roll. Both decent portions.
The beef lo mein was nice, it needed a smidge more salt so some soy sauce enhanced it, but the beef was tender and good quality. The duck was similar, well cooked but a heavy clove-like taste which was OK - just not our preferred taste. However this is being critical.
The tea was warming.
Service was rapid and attentive despite how busy they were.
Only main downside is on a cold day the entrance impacts you given the tight space so you feel it every time the door opens. I can see why as maximising table space and this is only an issue on cold days.
We loved Mitsuki and definitely coming back...
Read moreThe way the staff made me feel last night was something I won't easily forget. It was my birthday and we were rushed to leave. Consistantly throughout the meal we were reminded. As a group we were told 10 times by members of staff. I was told twice on the phone, twice on arrival and another woman came over and said, just to remind you again - we need the table back at 7.30pm. The booking was for 6pm, if the reminders came in the last 15/20 mins or so then fine. We were fine leaving at 7.30pm, but the consistant nagging was wholly unnecessary and rude and made me anxious. I kept looking at the clock. They came over and asked us if we were ready for the cake, which was meant to be a surprise. Then they asked if we wanted to eat it there. When my mother complained that the constant reminders were rude the lady walked away saying 'we have more customers coming, thank you for understanding'. I understand its a small restaurant on a Saturday night but they knew it was my birthday. Perhaps they shouldn't accept such bookings for less than 2 hours if they are so anxious about thier schedual they end up ruining the experience for customers. Really didn't feel welcome or...
