Scarborough Tandoori is truly shines brightly in the culinary world. I have nothing but the highest praise for this eatery. The food is a masterclass in excellence, a symphony of flavors that will leave you in awe. I had the privilege of dining here multiple times during my stay in Scarborough, and each visit was a testament to the restaurant's unwavering commitment to quality. This is, without a doubt, one of the finest Indian restaurants I've had the pleasure of experiencing. After exploring numerous Indian eateries, I always found myself drawn back to Scarborough Tandoori, like a magnet to steel. The buttery chicken is a revelation, a dish that will leave you weak in the knees, while the Korma is a close second, a masterpiece of subtle flavors and textures. And let's not forget the naan, a deliciously indulgent treat that will transport you to culinary nirvana. The staff are the epitome of kindness and warmth, their hospitality a beacon of hope in a world that often forgets the importance of human connection. From the moment you step through the doors, they will treat you like family, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. This restaurant is a shining example of what it means to truly excel, a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and a passion for delivering exceptional cuisine.
I would return in a heartbeat, and I encourage anyone who loves to try new flavours to do so.
Thank you, Scarborough Tandoori, for a truly unforgettable experience that will stay...
Read moreReally good Indian place, was a bit confusing going in, I called up the day before to make a reservation for 1 at 5pm, called up on the day to rebook the reservation for 8pm as I had a large meal earlier in the day I was a bit full. Got there and was told by the Maitre D they don't make reservations for 1/2 people and that I might have got it mistaken with Royal Tandoori, called them by mistake etc. I cross checked the number later on though and it was definitely them I called. Just pass it onto your team and make sure whoever answers the phone is doing their job as I had to wait 10 minutes for a table then, if you're not taking reservations for 1 on busy days then the staff answering the phone need to communicate this to their customers.
Staff were great though, really attentive and friendly team, ladies on the bar were excellent, there's an Indian I really like in Altrincham here and it was every bit as good as that if not maybe better so that's something in my eyes! Had some lovely Poppadoms and Chutney, Onions etc. to start, really nice fresh onions, fresh poppadoms. Then had Onion Bhajis which were lovely and for my main I had a Chicken Balti with Pilau Rice and a Garlic Naan, all in all a great place and I would definitely...
Read moreI went to this restaurant on 14th December. The waiting staff looked disinterested from the moment we arrived. After about 3 minutes we were acknowledged and shown to a table next to the kitchen and a bar area where the staff were sorting out the dirty table linen. There was plenty of room in the restaurant so I was disappointed to be next to two busy areas of the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which was in a bottle with a Tandoori Scarborough label. The wine was very sweet and not dry like it should have been. The table had a wobbly leg and had to be steadied with a napkin. The mixed tandoori grill starter was okay, however the Dopiaza main course was very bland not what I expected for a dish expected to be spicy. We declined dessert and went straight for the microwaved "hot towels" which stayed hot for about four seconds. We did receive a complimentary Irish cream which was very diluted and not Baileys. I will not be returning to this restaurant in a hurry....
