I recently had the pleasure of spending a delightful afternoon at The Shelter Hall in Brighton with my partner and some friends, and I must say it is a fantastic destination to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the Seafront, especially during the warm summer months. The location itself is a gem, nestled right by the seaside, providing breathtaking views and a refreshing breeze that adds to the overall charm of the place. The Shelter Hall's setting is simply wonderful, with ample outdoor seating that allows guests to bask in the glorious sunshine while savouring their meal. The open-air concept creates a relaxed and inviting ambience, perfect for enjoying the good weather and taking in the lively energy of Brighton's Seafront. Moreover, the attentive and friendly staff at The Shelter Hall contribute to the overall positive experience. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests are comfortable and have everything they need, making the visit even more enjoyable. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Brighton, I highly recommend spending some time at The Shelter Hall. It's a fantastic spot to unwind, enjoy the good summer weather, and create lasting memories in a picturesque seaside setting.

Iâm really felt sad while Iâm writing my personal experience for visiting this place couple of times with my wife One of the best spot on the sea front to my heart to sit eat watching the waves and the sun best view However with the worst possible service and the worst argument with non sense answers I get every time I say something I didnât like So today morning walk with my wife decided to have a brunch and coffee We order 2 coffee and one I wrote in the comment please make it extra hot I canât drink coffee med or cold And then ordered some starters Coffe came back after 20 min and very cold not even a single smoke came out from the cups âmeaning left behind if was made hot from beginning â And later the starters came Very cold and oily I asked the waiter for a cup of water he told me you can go get it and help your self âwhile I pay service charge on my receipt â So I asked the manger to till about my feed back for the coffee and his answer was what is extra hot mean for coffee!! Itâs made from hot water ?! ââ as you donât hear or boil the milk first ââor you just heat it for the first customer and keep serving from it till you finish . So I didnât argue actually I said yes you are alright I just left the place with very sad ending instead of having a nice brunch and coffee enjoy the view for non sense answers

Shelter Hall used to be somewhere Iâd avoid, but after significant improvements and the addition of some exciting new vendors, I now really enjoy coming here! The service is fast considering how busy the place gets - there seems to be a buzzy atmosphere at all times, so Iâd probably skip if youâre after a quieter spot by the sea. There are plenty of tables, both indoor and outdoor, with most outdoor tables having a good view of the seafront. We went on a Saturday lunchtime and were treated to some great live music while we enjoyed our food and drinks. All orders are taken via QR code, so make sure you have your phone handy! Thereâs a great selection of beverages, including some excellent beers on tap and a range of cocktails (the Pimmâs jugs looked fantastic!) đš There are 7 vendors to choose from (currently serving pizzas, burgers, souvlaki, bao buns, and chicken wings) but we went with Mexican. Our food from âCrudoâ was nothing short of perfect - I thoroughly recommend the goat birria tacos. The watermelon salad and sea bream ceviche tostada were super refreshing for a hot day, too âď¸ If youâre a tourist in Brighton, I really recommend a visit to soak up the seafrontâs atmosphere!

Different cuisines in one house. Something I like since you will have a lot of options and you can pick whatever you fancy. SANTAN BOI by New Venture Kitchen offered me Malaysian Black Braised Beef Nasi Lemak. The beef shin was so tender and the spices was spot on. The fried anchovies and roasted peanuts added texture to the dish as the sambal elevated the taste by packing a bit of heat that was cooled by the cucumber and egg. It is served with rice and garlic toppings. What a lovely dish. CAUGHT by Crabshack gave me so far the best fried crispy squid my friends and I enjoyed. Crunchy yet the texture of the squid was not mushy, not hard but it had a bite to it which is how it should be. The serving was very generous for its price which Im pleased about. The shelter hall was kinda empty inside because we all enjoyed the weather outside that day. Not raining, windy and not too sunny. Good combo. If you wanna sit in or our even in the terraces in the 2nd or 3rd floor it would be a good thing too.

A very good experience! Once you get your head around ordering, its great. We found its easier to all look at the menus on the app, but let one person order. But your choice :-) Its fun, there is a good selection of food and it comes in a reasonable time frame. We all ended up eating from the same place, so our food came together, remember it may not. Cost wise its on parr with other restaurants. We ate with OX Block and it was amazing. My 45 day aged steak was cooked to perfection. For me, the only downer is that the toilets are grubby. There are a couple of cubicles with missing door locks and missing fitments. Not great for a unisex facility. Its also very chatty and noisy, so if its a romantic meal you're after, you may want to book an outdoor balcony with sea views..... weather dependent. All in all, a fun place with a good standard. (Food fotos are: 45 day aged steak, lemon chicken/thyme thigh and Mac Daddy burger all from Ox Block with Skin on fries)

If you come to Brighton and find yourself by the seaside, you should definitely come to Shelter Hall for a meal. Just beware that you might have to wait a little if you come during the summer or at a peak time of the day. They always welcome walk-ins, but ideally, try to book a table in advance. However, if you cannot book, it's worth the wait if you have to! The staff is always quite welcoming and kind, and our overall experience has always been great! I would like to particularly recommend Conchita's Mexican Kitchen! As I mexican national living in the UK, Conchita's is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants that I have ever tried outside of Mexico. Their flavours are equal to those you can find on the streets of Mexico City! Rest assured that whatever you might order from them it will be done right! But don't forget to try their Tres Leches Cake! Simply decadent!
